{MOB} Forums _ General Discussion _ Xfire calling it quits

After more than a decade of connecting gamers around the world they are apparently discontinuing their service. I recieved the following message moments ago. I greet this with sadness as I have thousands of ppl in my list that even though I might not see them with any regularity (or many in several years) it keeps those gaming memories alive. Xfire will be missed

Last time I recall the young lads sat on dad's knee directing precision MOB tank fire.... they are young men now helping Dad cross the road I imagine

Miss the old bolt action capture the flag and death match games of old...
STEAM has the old UO WW2 we played.... And I used to play Operation Flashpoint - which now transformed into the formidable ARMA franchise , also on STEAM.

Sorry I'm months late replying. As you might expect I drop in less and less because there's no reason to. But I do come back now and then to see if anyone is lurking. I still play cod2 a bit. I'm on the OHMY CTF server these days. Play under the name 10001110101 most of the time. Drop in and shoot us sometime.

The master server stays broken a good bit of the time. I play on version 1.3 so make sure you patch to the latest version as well.
The IP I play on is below. Usually populated until about 8-9 PM CST each day. Busiest hours are 4-7 PM.
