Mustang I clicked on your infowars link and watched a few those videos interestng yet they all seem to paint the same conclusion::only a granted few with conections will run the hole show,,while the rest of us just linger in a pit of hell to either serve them or simply be condemed to a horrible way of life or worse even a deserved death as they see fit.

I do have a hard time buying into dooms day type claims myself because it reminds me of folks like David Koresh,Jim Jones and the like you know.But i enjoyed the read and films enlightening to say the least.

Say did'nt the Astec"s or was it the Incas"s have a callender for the end of the world...The date was i belived 2012.

Well T.M. you sure opened up a big can of worms. David Koresh and Jim Jones is a whole another thread.Politics and Religion.I don't like doom day stuff either but I do have to realize what is going on in our world that is going to affect everyone's life.I have to admit to myself that their is something going on that if it is not stopped we are going to be in very trying times.As being the head of my family I have to see danger coming and protect my family and others as best as I can. My belief in the last year about the neocon assault into Iraq is in the camp that it wasn't connived over false claims of WMD to get back at Sadam nor for oil; I'm in the camp that believe the neocons have/had a geo-strategy in mind with that grand plot-> they wanted to put a tighter noose on Iran, by 'acquiring' Iraq as what they'd envisioned would be a perfect puppet state -conveniently on Syria and Iran's doorstep -ready to break in their doors when the time was right.

As for world doomsday speculations:
In my mind, if we humans can't figure out that billions of us need to get off our one day to-be-dead as dust planet- and out of our Sun extinguished solar system, we're doomed to total existence erasure.

As for end of world predictions; these fears go on allllll the time don't they?- especially with cults.... In particular every several centuries something is supposed to surely be the end of the world regarding unique calendar dates. Geezus, lol the evangelical leaders had a field day in the 80s playing on the fears of nuclear holocaust scenarios and saying that was surely the time the Coming would occur..... More bizarre that Prez.Reagan's in his anti-commie over-zealousness would be the one to end the piping hot Cold War crisis and kill end of world fears at that time.
I'm not trying be a heretic/heathen, but didn't Jesus himself say that the end of the world would come in his generation...... 2000 years ago.

Wow, what a load of bullshit. What part of that was "verified" on Snopes? That there really is a company named Citgo? It really frightens me that people believe all this dumb bullshit that go around in emails. "Hey everyone, let's stick it to the oil companies and no one buy gas for a day, that will show 'em!" Sorry but I don't put much faith in a news story from an Irainian newspaper.
It would be shocking if they didn't have something bad to say about Bush or America in general.
BTW, did you notice who they credit for the news stroy

Maybe it would be worthwhile to take a look at CounterPunch Magazine.
The magazine is edited by Alexander Cockburn and Jeffrey St.Clair and considered by most people to be anti-Semitic in nature.
So call me crazy but I'm not surprised an Irainian newspaper would cover a magazine peice put out by two known anti-Semits, which btw didn't bother to support any of the claims in the article the Iranian paper is reposting.
