I read the pinned section and now I would like to compare notes.

You tell me what you believe it means and then I will tell you what I believe it means and maybe we could clear up any misconceptions everyone might have concerning this piece of forum real estate.

The whole purpose of this section is for the drama that goes on in the world of online gaming. Look at the threads that were originally in the forum before someone who didn't know any better started posting jokes. This section is where all the drama with BSS would go. That is the sole purpose of this forum, no matter what you think it is for.

i say its much healthier to use this for jokes and what not as opposed to dedicating it to dramatic crap that no one needs to hear! this thread alone could pass as a joke!

Well, I must say that I mis-understood what this forums' purpose was originally intended for. Thanks for setting me straight!

However, I did go back through and read alot of the topics and got a good overview of why this forum was set up and how this clan has evolved, in my opinion, beyond the need for such a forum and how this is a wasted space that should be used for more constructive purposes.

The opera forum was established for members of this clan and other clans to have a place in which to argue points of interests. Usually, this involved alot of name calling, bad language and eventually led to the banning and trolling of all participants that were't MOB members. Therefore, it is a useless forum as the end result is MOB only reading this stuff, since everyone else has been removed. Now, we could post stuff about >BsS< here as was suggested, however, they are all banned and could not respond. Again, sort of pointless, don't you think? Besides, do we really want them reading what we have to say here, fueling the fire and promoting more false member accounts and reasons to post crap in our forums? I think not!

This forum is viewable by the public and allows people to look at the "dirty laundry", if you will, of yester-year. Since we do not normally invite fights and degrading conversation with other clans, as may have been the custom back in the MOHAA days, to monopolize our forums and certainly not in a public forum, I would submit to you that this space could be used to share funny stories, jokes and snippets of humorous information that we would enjoy reading and would project a much more positive image than the status quo.

Quite obviously this is what is happening as a natural process of "forum evolution" as we speak.

So, while I certainly apologize for posting a joke in the Opera section, I believe that the need for the Opera section has passed and I, for one, would support a change of forum content within this area of MOB's communication center.

What BLK is saying is that There is already a forum for jokes : Miscellaneous / Off Topic & this forum has been a place where the drama filled posts have occured and been archived for years now. Whether you think it is healthy or a good thing for the posts in this forum to have occured in the first place is irrelevant, it is MOB history and provides an entertaining read now and then.

This section used to be a place where one would only post if he had some controversial information that could lead to an enjoyable disagreement for all.

I personally, took pride in NOT banning people from the forums unless there were extenuating circumstances. This was always a place where ANYONE could speak their mind about ANYTHING without worrying about being banned. Yes, of course there were a few who were banned, some repeatedly, but I guarantee that:
1. They were banned for being completely annoying (ie: spamming the forum).
2. They had ALOT of warning before they were banned.

In fact, a few bans were done by a vote of the forum community.

If you've read through the posts as you say you did, you saw that.
