After would have been easy, would have been Der Untergang, Enemy at the Gates... before 1995 Das Boot? anyway... at 1995 I was 9... and not much into movies... I rember some fun moves about Patton or soemthing...but thats long ago.. -------------------- C'est pas l' histoire d'un jour

Das Boot. One of the rare WW2 movies with German perspective. Another fav, made before 95, is Cross of Iron.

A Bridge TooFar #1 [superb action and historical accuracy aside, it's jammed packed with the best one-liners/brief dialogues].... Battle of Britain very good too. > Cross of Iron a great story and The Eale has Landed even better[a recreation of the village battle scene would be a great custom CoD map].

*[edit]yuk... double post[sorry/ sometimes I can figure out how to get the 2nd post into the prior one]*
I could never get into those war is glamour movies like 'Bridge at Remagen' and 'Patton'. Especially with their including 'modern day' tanks. My other bigtime favourite classic is "The Dirty Dozen" 1967... I think you'd love this one Feezy! Rent it if you can. Bridge Too Far was awesome! Dirty Dozen was great but was fictional. Tora Tora Tora was another great one. Stalingrad, older one, was really good too.

I think it was Called Guns of Navarone or something like that Had the guy from indiana jones in it! pretty good! Theres a bunch of versions though i dont remember the 1 i watched. Another good 1 is The Great Raid. Actually The movies called The guns on Navarone directed by J.Lee Tompson -------------------- ![]() "Wars come and go, But my soldiers they stay eternal" - Tupac Shakur ![]() |
