WHy has the weapon accuracy increased soo much on the server ?seems you can get away with the smg for everything now.

I too have noticed that the SMG is incredibly accurate and deadly...and to me it seems as though the rifle has been dulled down some.
I began to notice this after the change over to sv_pure...but I have no idea how this would effect anything

Any thoughts FK?

It is part of the new patch that FK is gonna have to Mod up like he did before.

FK's weapons mods are awesome!

The SMG is as accurate as the sniper rifle with a fire rate faster than the MG and shottie!

It should only be a close quarters weapon.

I really haven't noticed much difference in the smg from than it was before. If anything, I've noticed that it takes a few extra bullets to kill with an smg, but I'm content with it as it is.

As a gamer, I can somewhat appreciate an attempt at making weapons represent what they truly act like. But in all honesty and realistically, it's a friggin' videogame, which means people want to play, not get bogged down in infuriating grudge contests. Nothing pisses me off more than lining a guy up in my sights(close or otherwise), and having to waste 2 clips just to see if I gimp him or not. When I point my crosshairs at someone, I want them to die, not turn around and do the 60-round dance with me.

I personally, like things as they are. It keeps the games fast and furious, and flowing back and forth, as a game should be. Realism is great to a point, but in a videogame, you want good play that advances the game, and makes it fun.

If I'm reloading constantly just to hit the same dude, I ain't havin' fun.

The 2.15 patch made some noticable improvements in the weapon animation as well as smoothing out the net code in the game. The result is that my overcompensation on the weapons mod made for a REAL quick kill weapon with the smgs. I have been slammed helping folks get their game running and just now got around to tweaking the mod. The new version went on this morning so things should be equal now. As for the rifles, I rechecked all of them and they are working fine. Damage is still 100 which is the highest of any weapon, rapid fire still works and is actually much smoother than before the patch so you rifle junkies should be fine now. Anyway, keep giving me feedback on the weapons so I can make sure it gets just right.

Will the accuracy, of the smg decrease or is it going to stay the same ?

With the new version the FK speaks of the BAR/STG are once again viable, while the accuraccy of the SMG seems to have dropped off some with range.
