Thought this was interesting, if nothing more than to ask, "Hey, what happened here"?

You know, I've always believed that it wasn't a big jet, but I can't say for sure. I have absolutely no objective information either way.
All I can say is that was a very entertaining video. Well edited. Thanks for sharing Sabot. -------------------- |

its funny you bring this up and i read all the previous posts silver.the guy has a couple of points .my father worked in that side of the pentagon for 10 years (cia) then he left and started at an fbi branch in silver spring md.he was actually passing the pent the day it happend and saw it on fire and knew it was the area he worked . he knew a few peeps that were killed and injured and when he taalked to some friends he found it weird noone new anything,at all!? wouldnt you at least hear a jet? i live not far to an airport every long once in awhile a plane will land on a certain route that brings it close to my home and let me tell you -YOU CAN HEAR THEM LOUDLY- and these are dc 10s. if aboieng flew by the pent everyone would hear it,def!
down hear in fla and when i lived in md i have actually witnessed 3 plane crashes and when i saw on the news the debri from the pa crash it brought questions into my mind. you may have seen a plane crash recently here in fort lauderdale when a (im not lying either) dc3 crashed (exactly like a c47 from w2) right in the middle of a nieghborhood.luckly the pilot was able to crash in the street and school was on summer break so no deaths,anyway- when it hit it skidded but maybe 30 ft and bamb! stopped ,the guys got out and kabloom! blew up but remained in a condensed pile- no houses were damaged nothing.the other two crashes where the same, afterwards just a pile of debri but never scatterd. it does make alot of sense! and the lets roll deal always botherd me-seems like propaganda! -------------------- ![]() |

The government claims it was a plane. There were alot of good points in that video, where was the wreckage, did the jet disentagrate upon impact? Good video, though, brings things into perspective.

One of my good friends works for the NoVA Emergency Rescue squad here and was one of the crews allowed into the Pentagon to retrieve bodies and put out fires. He has assured me that it was a large plane, due to the wing pieces and fuselage that were still buring when he entered the Pentagon. Some of the stories he's shared are pretty gruesome.

More analysis here
Those of you that know me know that I am in no way a fan of the current US administration. However, the conspiracy theories just don't hold water. Put yourself in the shoes of the supposed conspirators. You want to make people believe that a jetliner crashed into the pentagon. You have access to people willing, for whatever reason, to die to accomplish this (does anybody doubt that SOMBODY flew 2 airliners into the WTC?) Your choices are: 1) Fly a jetliner into the pentagon. or 2) -Make a jetliner disappear. -Murder everybody on board, dismember and burn the remains, and somehow perform a switcheroo with remains pulled out of the pentagon before they are identified at Dover air base. -Fly a missile or small plane into the pentagon. Stake the whole plan on the hope that nobody will manage to get a picture or video of the low flying aircraft/missile before it hits. -Bet that nothing will go wrong with this complex plan, and none of the many people who would have to be involved would, at any point, spill the beans. Even assuming a conspiracy (that 9/11 wasn't the work of al queda), why the hell would the conspirators choose option 2 over option 1? Is there any reasonable explanation as to why they would do so? This is one aspect of the conspiracy theory I haven't seen addressed on ANY of the websites devoted to this topic. -------------------- ![]() |

For those who have not spent time on the tarmac... as part of the noise level requirement changes back in the mid-late 90s, most jets were retrofitted with silencers or new engines.
Now, what does this mean in a practical sense? I've been on the tarmac as a 757 was taxiing away towards the runway. When the engine is pointed directly at you, very little noise, but as you got 10-20 degrees off-axis, there was a clearly audible jet engine sound which then faded away as the jet pivoted to turn around. It was not what I expected, acoustic-wise from a jet engine. The other thought that comes to mind is that the engines may have been spooled back as they worked on hitting their target. -------------------- |

A jet taking off is hellaciously loud; the engines run at full speed so as to gain speed and altitude as fast as possible.
A landing jet is MUCH quieter, as the engines aren't doing much more than idling as the plane slows and descends. For what it's worth, i would expect that a nervous, novice pilot (such as one making his first landing and certain of his immenent death) to be making constant throttle adjustments as he neared his target. -------------------- ![]() |
