LOM, I don't think I care for this fellow.... "in 1895, while on duty in Montana, Pershing was active in rounding up a large group of renegade Creeks and deporting them to Canada. " LOL... Yes Pershing was sent to Manila, in the Philippines, the middle of 1899, to help in the cleaning up of Moro insurrectionists, but in 1901, he went back to the US; again in 1908 he returned to the Philippines, to apparently settle, but returned to the US in 1909, with a bout of malaria which he had before. Apparently he did return again to the Philippines, but there is no mention of what is quoted in the article. In fact, history paints a picture of him as being a honorable and fair soldier, and it seems that someone tried to pick out a respected soldier to make the nasty deed much more noted. He probabally wouldn't of approved however. (There are several ethnic groups over there, not all muslims.) WW1 broke out in 1914, and he was about 60 before the American involvement in 1917. By early 1920's his health was going again. This happened to may soldiers overseas back in the 1800's as the life span and disease of third world countries would take their toll while they served, even if a bullet didn't get them, but he was lucky and lived well into his 80's. More on Pershing below for those interested.

I enjoyed your analogy of leaflets. There is only one way to fight these types of enemies, to lower your level to there ways, but unfortunately the west is to civilized, and once something is done wrong no matter how minor, its our own press that becomes the enemy. These scum pray on this weakness. CNN doesn't realize how much damage it has done, and continues to do to with regards to the armed forces in Iraq and Afganistan. Back in World War 2, the press had much more respect for what was reported, and backed it's armed forces. I was speaking to a soldier from my online group about this, and he also mentioned the same thought, and how they report all the bad, and none of the advances and good they have brought to the regions in Iraq. He was actually mortered, while I was conversing with him, so he had to go. Anyway, good reading, to bad you can't just do what Cuba did back in 1980, with refugees into Miami, and empty the prisons from the USA into Iraq, give them weapons, maybe let the leader be Charles Manson, and bring the regular soldiers back home... lol. Ok I am kidding there. Anyway, for a race that has no respect or liking for pigs, they very much appear to be there brethern. (in reference to the Islamic extremists.)

Good to see you Bargod; yes my original login I lost long ago. Late last night I visited some MOHAA sites after coming across some old files on the D drive still.

I noticed in the list LOM, was the last to post, and he doesn't post to often so I thought I'd check out that he had to say in this section. The article caught my interest, because I recognized the name, but not much on his history, so I thought I would check it out.

I haven't been in the game world for awhile. I miss that old MOHAA, it was a classic . I found some interesting maps near the end, nice ones I'd never seen; to bad most servers went on to other games. There should always be room for a classic one, but the younger crowd gets board pretty quick these days. Enjoy the rest of the summer bud.
