ANYONE BEEN TO THIS SERVER ?you can fly two planes-it was gay and no where near ,say,bf 1942 ,but still amusing and a good start.

I played on that server last week...I loved it...LOL until I crashed and burned. People were always waiting in line to grab the planes instead of fighting the battle...and I of course pushed my way to the front. LOL

We sure had alot of laughs..probably at my expense.

I just sit on the wing and shoot my PPSH like a crazy person...then jump and hope that my parachute opens...it did one time. Drop the bombs right on there spawns...great for spawn killing and the opposition hates you for it.

I was on that server and wanted to try it, but got too involved in the game and no chance to fly around (we won both games btw . It was on Italy at that time.

I wondered, what are the basic flight controls. Please tell me you don't have to steer with a mouse.

Anyway, I had a good laugh picturing a guy on the wing doing the "shoot my PPSH like a crazy person" thing.

Tried this just a short time ago.

You steer with the mouse: up, down, left, right (the plane turns on a dime). It's really quite easy.

You can fire rockets (left click) and also drop bombs (USE button). There is a limited number of each. Also, you can only stay in the air for a certain amount of time (40 secs?).

Kinda neat. I's most entertaining just to kamikaze into your opposition!

I think I finished with a score of 3 kills, 34 deaths. lol.

Basically they changed the dynamics of a jeep and put a different skin on it. If you look, the second person who gets in the plane is seen standing up through the skin on an mg, and the third person is sitting on the wing, which is the passenger seat of the jeep. It's very fun, but a novelty. The planes fly slow because the maps are tiny (maybe cool on Rhine Valley or Ponyri). In the end it was just frustrating that bases are getting planted and all anyone wants to do is get a chance to fly... including me.

Fun to fly yes, but look funny in the sky, they are rather clunky. And everyone tries to get to the plane instead of playing. Too gimmicky for me. Is that the same server with the chrome rims and rap station on the jeeps. Yikes lol.

it is the only thing i miss from battlefield 1942.it was the only game ive known to have full mp battle with infantry ,tanks etc.. and have airplanes AND bombers flying as well.they also had a universal stats page as well so where ever you played you were scored.i really started to get good with flying.

sooooooo many plane hacks though! any one from 1st ad bf1942 here?

Yea, especially when you have to wait in line for soooooo long. It's like a red light special:)
