HI all..
Haven't played COD2 in about a year and it seems I keep getting kicked out of your server for a cvar_fix_0 problem... I have no idea what this is... can someone please tell me what I need to do to get it set right?? Much appreciated ... Flash- -------------------- ![]() |

Hi FlashGirl, did you update your COD2? They had a patch awhile back.
http://callofduty.filefront.com/file/Call_...v12_Patch;60359 I think I had to update my punkbuster as well. Maybe try the patch first. T/A6Pak -------------------- ![]() Signature designed by Old Man Mike Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway. ![]() |

A common pb kick in cod2 is for cvar fx_sort 0. This cvar set to 0 shows smoke thinner, therefore is considered by our pb settings as a cheat.
If that's it, then go to your C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 2\main\players\your-player-name folder Open the file named config_mp.cfg with your favorite text editor (plain old notepad is okay, just isn't very pretty). Modify this: seta fx_sort "0" to this: seta fx_sort "1" save and exit the file. You can also do this as a console command by going into a game, bringing down your console with shift-~ and typing /seta fx_sort "1" Oh, and if this is it, then updating your punkbuster will not fix it, as this is a personal setting in your config_mp.cfg file and not in any punkbuster upgrade alone.
