Has anyone seen this on Discovery? I am amazed at the depths of human stupidity after watching this show. These guys documented climbing Mt. Everest and lastnight it was showing guys as they neared the summit. There were guys that could barely move yet had to be begged to turn around so that they wouldnt die trying to reach the summit. They showed the bodies strawn along their path where people had died on the Mtn in the past. They also passed a guy who was litterally left for dead. The guy was out of oxygen and frostbit. His team had left him there alone. The documenting team was trying to decide if they should give him oxygen or not. They gave him a few breaths but had to argue about if they should give him more which would have endangered all their lives. So they litterally had to walk away from this dying man on Mt. Everest. There are hundereds of unrecovered dead bodies on the mountain because it is next to impossible to recover them. Yet these morons keep going there and trying to get to the top. People have already been there. It's got snow on it and it's real tall. I've seen pictures. There's nothing there. No riches, women, or heaven. I know it's a great view but a postcard will do just fine for me. I can't understand why anyone with any sense would endanger their lives to do this.

I've watched a few episodes of this show. I found it very sad that here is this beautiful snow capped mountain the tallest in the world at that, and all of these morons leave there garbage on the summit, in particular the oxygen tanks that they have to lug up all that way, they’re everywhere! How sad.
Then… ohhh…. to top it all off, the line at the summit! THERE’S A FREAKIN LINE at the summit.
YOU HAVE TO WAIT in line to have your turn to sit at the summit ounce you risked your life to get there.

all just to say "I DID IT!" I have to say i'm with ya on this one junkie. Seen a picture and was pretty satisfied with that. be nice to check it out with a spotting scope maybee. seeing as there's nothing at the top but a more dangerous climb to the bottom, IMO it takes a fairly retarded person to risk everything on saying "I DID IT"! I'll stick with "I SAW IT"! fartnew2.gif

Thats a great point Snowman! Why in the heck don't we dump our garbage up on top of mountains tops. Only a few stupid people go there anyway. Get that garbage out of our local communities to somewhere where nobody see's and smells it.

Wow. The stupidity deepens. The compassionate part of me wants to feel bad for them. The logical, common sense, self preserving part of me that I normally listen to says that they are morons and deserve a cold oxygen deprived death for being arrogant enough to think they are above natures fury. So much good could be done with that $40,000 each they are blowing on their arrogance.

Warm weather, sandy white beaches and a frosty drink is more my style. Although, I love to ski... the thought of a weeks vaction would go to Bora Bora.
I will super-impose my pic on the Mt.Everst and throw in a little trash...then I can say: I did it..LOL
