Hi
I want to say first off that the Modern Weapons server is really good and has sparked my intrest in UO once again. One thing I was wondering was,How often do you guys rotate the maps? Some bigger maps would be nice.But besides that the server is the best UO out there. -------------------- See ya on the field ! |

Hi SgtSlug, welcome! Glad you like Modern Weapons Custom Maps. Have you also tried {MOB} Fly Planes Modern Weapons at 65.99.210.6:28960 -- it's a lot of fun too and has several interesting twists.
As for map changes on MWCM, it's sort of whenever, there's no set time. I try to keep an eye on when folks are getting bored or needing a change with the current maps. Trouble is, I very rarely get any suggestions or even requests for maps. So if you have one you'd like to see, let me (us) know and I'll check to see if it will run with our mods and then give it a try and see if people like it. I've put up bigger maps before, and there seems to be a tipping point where if it is just a bit too big, the server will lose players instantly. They will drop off like flies, lol! That's typically how I judge whether a map will stay or not, if people come into or leave the server when the map comes up. A server is only fun if it has players, so a big goal of Modern Weapons Custom Maps is to attract players and keep them there. Steel To be honest with you I haven't touched UO in some time so I couldn't even tell you the "names" of the maps anymore.But If I do run into a good one in my travels I will make a suggestion. As long as they change from time to time that's good enough for me.Plus I had gotten an e-mail from Old Man Mike explaining that not all maps work with the modern weapons.
