OK, I've been trying & trying to think of the name of this movie but cannot for the life of me remember what it's called.

I believe it came out mid 80's to early 90's.

Can't remember plot details exactly, but it's about a guy who gets kidnapped and taken to a remote location where hunters have paid big bucks to hunt human prey. He goes around making traps and weapons out of what he can find to try to survive.

Thanks in advance...I know someone out there can help me out!

(no, I can't remember who the actors were either - I know, I'm a big help)

hmm...not sure if that's it Cross.

The movie I saw was set in the jungle, whereas Hard Target was more in New Orleans wasn't it?

"The Most Dangerous Game"

One of the oldest plots in existance, but still has an allure due to the thrill of the chase and the hope of escape. The original concept dates back at least to the 1920's. There were several Old Time Radio shows that had plots exactly as u describe. Programs like Lights Out and Escape both aired shows in the 20's and 30's and 40's. The CBS Radio Mystery Theatre aired a cooked over theme as late as the 1960's. On television, Rod Serling's Twilight Zone aired a recooked version of an OTR script. They usually carried the title or something similar to the 1932 movie featuring Joel Mcrae "The Most Dangerous Game". It was remade again in 1953 as "The Dangerous Game".

As for your question, a couple of similar remakes come to mind.
1) 1993 saw a film called "Death Ring"
2) 1989 we saw "Lethal Women" lure men to an island to hunt them down
3)In 2003 "Season of the Hunted" showed several business men get hunted down
4)TV's Fantasy Island even aired an episode in the late 70's with this theme

That is all that I can recall at the moment.
