New server -->

{MOB} Modern Weapons BAS!!

It is located at 8.9.4.78:28960

Right now it's running two games of Barbarossa and one game of Ponyri. It needs to have one stock map in it to run right with all the mods so if you'd like a different stock map other than Ponyri, no problem.

This server was created at the request of 6pak, McCoy, and Cuda, after a fun-filled night of testing my newest weapons mod. And yes, this new server has my newest modern weapons mod, version 7!!

McCoy volunteered to field all complaints and suggestions about this server and handle them as he sees fit. Thanks good buddy!

BTW, if you play on this new server, or any modded server, and then want to play on any other server, you will probably have to quit out of your coduo and then start it up again.

There are ways to get around this, but this method will always work for you.

Awesome job Steel!!! Found this our new server by accident, when I started Xfire. Just had couple rounds and it was a blast!!! It was funny, that you could run faster than tanks move. Kleerance had BT-7 and I just ran away from him laughing You could imagine his face! (Think it was Kleerance?) Running with rocket launcher was just out of this world. A moment I thought I was playing friggin Unreal Tournament!! You could almost fly.

It was a right moment to do something for our custom map Bas server. Just have to wait, if this was that needle in a hay stack, which brings people there. Couple things people were thinking, that are not yet in theif final shape ( or are they ):

- moving too fast
- jumping gets you too high
- tanks should be modern ones
- reloading is too fast

These were couple things, I noticed people were discussing during their first matches.

Hey ,Folks for a while now I've been playing modern weapons with planes on on the CZ server and got quite addicted.Heck i'm begining to feel like a traitor spending so much time there.Im not really one for the planes but that server is really cool.

NOW I logged onto the game and saw MOB MODERN WEAPONS BARB and was like now way...

This Mod of Steels is Art work baby !! I'ts really something special..And the wealth of weapons are awsome..I'm sure this server going to take off big time..

OMG -- Mechanic, don't you know that Modern Weapons Planes BAS is MY creation??? Yes, I made it up in December or so and paid for my own little 24-slot server called {MOB} Modern Weapons Planes, running stock BAS maps ... I posted about it all over these forums (do a search). Anyway, I didn't get much of a response from MOB, mostly just complaints, as usual, so after 2-3 months, CombatZone asked if they could have my mods and configs and I gave it all to them and stopped my server.

The instant they started running this server, bingo, it flew to top server rankings, and it has stayed there ever since.

Look in your Call of Duty folder, for whatever they've named their server's special folder, and you will see my mod there.... I think it's zzzz_steel_modw4.pk3 that they're running, the 4th version of my modern weapons mod.

It took me some time to figure it out, but how I made it was using part of the coduo Platinum War mod, which has the flyable planes. I had to delicately modify the configs, turning stuff off and on to get my modern weapons to play with it. I thought the result was fabulous and should be brought inside our big Mob-box .. but MOB was pretty-much underwhelmed, lol.

I haven't had the chance to try it yet, but I'm currently waiting in anticipation. I'd like to say great job on this mod and your past mods, you run one hell of a modern weapons tdm server and now you're in position to conquer bas. Keep up the extraordinary work Steel!

I gotta say that my 1st impression wasn't that good as i am strictly a stock player. After a round or 2 i think i'm in love! The draganov is unreal!.. I THINK FOY WOULD BE A BLAST WITH THAT MOD. 88's would be pretty much a non issue with the accuracy of the guns. Anyway, whatever maps ya stick with is fine with me. Great job Steel!

i played yesterday eve with the usual BAS crowd and had an absolute BLAST ! ! !

at first i didn't know what to think as i am not a real fan of the mw server style of play but once i jumped in this thing and became used to the faster movement, walking with the zook - u really cook, the plethora of weapons that are truly amazing, and that freaking draganov i was HOOKED.

Steel - thanks for the time spent setting this thing up. get there early tonight laddies and gentleman as i'll be looking for your arses...
