If they get the multiplayer right, this will be a keeper. The single player demo is awesome. Just make sure you know how to duck and run because the weapons in the demo are as powerful as the dragunov.

FileFront has already had over 65,000 DLs of this demo since yesterday.
I will have to wait on my DL because of the backlog. This is really impressive because most of the demos in the last month are just numbered in the hundreds..... JIM --------------------  |

from what i read ,mp will include - dm tdm dom s&d and ctf .question is ,what and how many maps? i have the doul core 1.86 ghz and ran perfect as well

My b-day is at the end of next month so I'm gonna see if I can get this early
.Also, does anyone know if it's in Dx10 or Dx9? It has no option to change the Dx level but I swear I saw it extract Dx9 and 10 files while I was installing. -------------------- |

I just downloaded it from yahoo and played about 30 mins. I have a laptop running Core dou 1.73 ghz 1gig ram and a gforce 7600 graphics card it ran great. Wow! is right. THe draganov sniper rifle is fantasic. You can actually miss your target with it. Thrpg is nice it actually takes time to lock on the target and will not fire if you have a wall to close behind you. I am praying that they use punkbuster to keep the hacks out. That ruined Cod2 for me.

While I see a hacker now and then (mainly on non PB servers) I think punkbuster does a good job of keeping them out. Obviously you can't get them all but in 72 TWL matches for TDM we've had one match where we were suspect enough that we would have protested and we ended up winning anyway. For the most part I don't think hacking is a huge issue in COD2 now. I'm worried that with the "perks" in COD4 that wall hacking will be at a premium..... --------------------  Give a man a match and he's warm for a min. Set him on fire and he's warm for the rest of his life. |

Has anyone had a problem in the last few days with a trojan getting into their computer? I downloaded the demo and after that McAfee started complaining about a trojan. Somewhere along the line it removed [or McAfee did] some system files and Windows would reboot. The event log showed it was looking for files that it couldn't find. I gave up and did a restore from a backup about 2 weeks ago. About the only thing that I did was play COD2 and grab the demo before this started happening. I'm wondering if I got it from the download site?
