Well i figure I'll post my progress on my computer upgrade with pic and how to stuff. Waiting on parts to arrive should be put together couple week i hope!!

How much did you cough up for that Radeon? I'm assuming around $500 US?

From what I've read it's not a huge step up from an Nvidia 7950, and with 8800 GTX's coming down in price all the time (can pick em up for under $650 now)I would have thought that may be a better option.

Actually Shifty, I just read a review that put the 2900xt against the 8800GTS and according to the reviewer,

"In all tests the HD 2900XT hammered the 8800GTS".



BTW, the 2900XT uses GDDR4 for it's 512 memory chips. The 2900XTX sports 1gig GDDR4.

Yep, agree with you there, but that's the GTS not the GTX. Big difference in both price & performance there wink.gif
