Well after 6 bloody days of fighting on Barbarossa map for CMBB, MoD and I finish our game.
A draw lol after all that time we ended up as a draw. GG MOD biggrin.gif
Here is what barbarossa looks like on Day 1 and then again on Day 6.

The photo on the right is Day1 and the one on the left is Day6

@Ouch i know you where telling me that you played CMBO, why not get CMBB and try this map
against MOD or myself? If you cant find a copy let me know, i can hook you up with one.

Looks like a heck of a lot of action took place on the N road between R1 and G3... Smily_Slaughter.gif

Were you able to send troops through the woods (normally "closed")?

Overall, how would you rate the gameplay?

The N road was a tank graveyard! flamethrowingsmiley.gif

Yes, you could move troops into te wooded areas. Some spots were too "steep" to move straight through, but generally you could put soldiers in the woods. As this is a realisitc simulation, you basically had to use woods for cover or your troops would be slaughtered!

As to gameplay, well, that's all personal preference. This is a turn-based strategy game (not real time), though after you give your orders you do get to see them play out in real time for 1 minute, during which you pray your troops will carry out your orders properly! This is a game for the serious war gamer. It takes time and strategy, but the detail is extremely high and realistic as to how the man and equipment operates.

I'd say it took 8-10 hours for us to play this 100 turn game, at the end we tied at exactly 50% each. I almost had R2, but lost it in the last 2 turns!!! cussing.gif

Well after trying the CMBB demo, I have to say it's quite frustrating how the units fail to follow orders and panic so easily. May be realistic/accurate, but damn ... what wimpy soldiers. angry.gif

Thanks for postig this. I bought cmbo and cmbb and started playing them at work to kill time. I did notice that in cmbb the russian infantry tends to panic easily.
