Anybody planning on getting one of these? And if so will it play MOHAA correctly since its a 64bit chip?

Dude I want that thing baaad, but too pricy at the moment. I would assumed that it would play all games and apps the way it should because of the fact that it runs windows (32 bit vers).

Quote from press release

"In addition, the AMD64 architecture is designed for both 32-bit and 64-bit computing, allowing customers to migrate to 64-bit computing.”

How are you going to fit that under your tree with the collection of large dildo's that you usually get for x-mas? laugh.gif biggrin.gif laugh.gif

Be careful with this processor guys. While optimized for 64 bit code it should run all 32 bit code as well but there are no guarantees. Think of it like this; Windows95 was originally built to run 16 bit and 32 bit code so that it could be backward compatible with old Win3.x apps. Some worked, some didn't.

IMHO the advantages of a 64 bit pipeline (specifically the capability to address 4TB of memory) aren't quite necessary yet except in the server platforms.

I love AMD stuff but I think money may be better spent buying the last revision of the AthlonXP (which is sure to go down in price now) and coupling it with an nForce mobo.
