has there been a change to the axis MG?
i can be an allie and do just fine, but when i switch to the axis, using the MG, it is if the gun doesnt even work.

today for instance, i was playing in your fine server as an axis soldier, and a few times i could fire into the back of someones upper torso or head and they could actually feel the shot, turn around, and shoot me dead.

have you not noticed the difference in scores among the average player from the allie to the axis? it is a noticable difference. the last few days, when i have played, the axis rarely have more than 3 players with positive kills while the allies has at a minimum, half.

it is just strange how different one team can be to the other.
as an allie, i can bet on having a ratio of about 2 to 1 most of the time.
lately, as axis, i am lucky to be in the positive.

i have visited other servers to see if it is a MOHAA wide condition and it is not.
it is only on MOB.

can u please tell me the reason?

ps, i know that by posting this, i open myself up to smartass comments, but i am sincerely seeking a response to the reason the axis MG has lost a bit of its power.

Could be lag or latency issues on your end, seeming like your missing when your really not.

The only difference between the Allied and Axis MG is you run a little slower with the BAR. Out side of the run speed they have the exact same settings.

Actually,from what I know the BAR is more powerfull than the STG.Bar is slower,but on Goodfellas with the Modified Realism its a super weapon......Dwarfs the STG........Both are not accurate etiher....You kind of get to return the favor if you use the Mauser with its rapid fire.....Which is a great weapon......FYI the Germans actually had stock piles of STG's on the front lines in WW II but choose to use the Mauser instead,because the STG's accuracy being so poor....Imagine if STG was very accurate and the German's used them instead of the Mauser.The World may have been a much different place then we know it today........

Just like the name BAR, It unlike most manchine guns was actually a true automatic rifle and used a 30-06 rifle round. While the STG44 used a snub-nosed 7.92mm round.
One thing I've always found funny, it when people complain the BAR fires to fast because they are use to the CKR setting. CKR is based on the M1918A1, which had two fire modes semi-auto and slow auto ( 300rps ). A full year before the USA entered WWII, we began producing the M1918A2. The A2 model did away with the semi-auto and replaced it with 2 fully automatic modes, slow at 300rps like the CKR version and a fast mode which fired 550-600rps.

I maybe wrong Druid,but the CKR realism is quite a bit off on the way these weapons performed....I think I may still have the comparison with the real spec's on the weapons & CKR realism.What the heck its a video game anyways,get as close to it as we can.....

Don't knock the Thompson with Druid's mod. It's my favorite on Stali because of speed. BAR is great on DV but its too slow (walk pace) in tight areas.

You know, it's funny. I said somewhere in another thread that after having one night where I had a 20 kill spree, the next night I was coming up behind people and missing with the Axis MG. At first I thought there was something off with the gun, but then I just assumed I was having an extra bad nite. I also noticed this last nite, but only during one map. I don't know if it's me or some kind of flaw, but if nothing else, it's gotten me to use the rifle more often, so I'm getting better with that.

Druid put rubber bullets in your MG....but just you...so we could all have a good laugh. Every 6th bullet is real tho...so sometimes you'll get lucky

The first STG came out in 1943 I read. When hitler was approached about the production of this weapon he rejected it. But it was still produced behind his back because they knew its value. The name of the weapon was changed and shown to Hitler and German soldiers were eager to get ahold of this weapon on the Russian front where it was very effective. Once Hitler seen the final result and its effect he approved mass production.Like this weapon, the V1, V2 (Rockets) and first Jet produced by Germany, it came into production too late into the war. Germany was battling on two major fronts, the Italians switched sides with Allies moving through Sicily & Anzio upwards. And the Luftwaffe (airforce) was brought in closer to home to protect its factorys from British and American bombers, after it depleted its air strength in the Battle of Britain. When the Allies landed at D-Day, all but 2 german fighters where there to great them. Because of the weather and by luck, most of the German top commanders (Including Rommel) were not at the defense beach lines. Calis the closest port to England, was set up to look like the major attack port into France. British planes dropped flachets, a sort of tinfoil made strips prior to the real assault beaches to fool the Germans into thinking a attack was coming higher up (Calis - sorry spell may be off) Anyway the tinfoil strips would appear on radar as indicating a great deal of planes. Back to the STG, at the end of the war, the Russians caught the weapon, made some changes to it, and you have one of the best weapons ever made, the AK47 This is breif history lesson hehe.
