what does this have to do with anything? if u have a home phone then its public knowlege and it is if you are in the phone book as well. the consitutional right granted to us for freedom of speech are not our rights when we break the law and choose to follow them. u cannot break into a building and proclaim that u are doing it for free speech. no property was take by kings actions and nothing was disclosed that wasnt listed in the phone book. in a sense this pussy broke into a protected area and choose to talk, was told to leave, and didnt. if it would have been public it still would not apply cuz he was told to leave. if it wasnt virtual it would be tresspass but i dont see how they could apply such a law to a virtual community. intresting though that this was not done before and his isp didnt slap his wrists before all this. what tards...  |

It's public information, anyone can get that info regarding website registration using the whois search. I did notice they just changed the name/address/phone number on there to something bogus, undoubtedly. If I know your name and you have it listed in your local phone book I can find it and give you a call if I desire.
Now if I use that information to constantly harass you with untoward phone calls and such, I can (and should) be held accountable for that. But you certainly can't argue that Qwest and other online phone directories have somehow violated your rights by publishing your PUBLIC phone number and address. You agreed to that when you signed up for their service and did not request a private listing. The dissemination of information is perfectly legal, it's how you use (abuse) it where you run into problems. -------------------- |
