Help in installing the map packs....., A little extra help in case you need it Options

I am noticing several MOB players as well as others getting kicked off the new maps so I want to make sure that all you guys have the maps installed correctly. Make sure you know that I do not think because you are having trouble that you are stupid so if you absolutely can't get this email me at jsemberger@ikon.com and I will do whatever I have to including callng you on my dime to help you get these installed. I mean that!
OK the map packs were written to install the files in the default directory so the first problem you will have is if you installed your game in a different directory than the default your toast. To check, right click on the MOHAA icon on your desktop that you use to launch the game. That will pull up a menu that on the bottom should say "properties". Move your mouse to the word "properties" and left click on it. That should now bring up a box with three tabs at the top called "general" "shortcut" and "compatibility". Click on the "shortcut" tab and look for the section titled "Target:". Here is where your game is actually installed and by default it should look like this;
C:\PROGRA~1\EAGAME~1\MOHAA
If it does you should have no trouble installing the packs so you need to download them over again and try installing them one more time. If it does not look like this then you need to 1) do a search to find the exact location of the program or 2) uninstall the game, and reinstall it using the defaults that EA picks during the installation routine. Then apply the 1.11 patch and reinstall the map packs again. I have done this successfully with several people who were having trouble and it is why I always think it best to install games in the default directory specified by the manufacter.
Lastly I have spoken to several people who had corrupt files when they attempted to download several packs at one time. It is best to download them one at a time to avoid this and install them one at a time as well.

Now, if you STILL can't get them to work PLEASE do not hesitate to email me. Yesterday and today, I called a guy in Wisconsin and one in New York to walk them through their problems over the phone. I want all MOB to use their server and it would suck big time to know hat you are not on because you can't get the maps to work and you are too proud to ask for help.

I have been in the computer business for 20 years and I know a LOT about this stuff. I have taught classes on computers and am used to talking to computer illiterate people and helping them through their problem without making them feel stupid. PLEASE again get a hold of me if you can't get it working so we can have all of you enjoying the server.
