Futureman, I know I haven't talked to you or anything but I feel for you because I went through the exact same thing but only my Dad and my Brother. Its hard but you just have to look at what would they want. Hooked up to a machine is not a way to live. A preacher man once told me that once its all over that you will feel better in a sence of relief even tho you miss the love one greatly. And it was true. I had just lost my brother a few months ago and still miss him greatly. I'll be thinking about you when you have to make that decision.

my mom went home yesterday. she isnt "better" but she definitely is "better".

i cant believe she is surviving but it sure as hell makes me happy.

I feel bad for you. A few years ago I went through a period in my life where my brother was killed in a car accident, a friend committed suicide, and another friend was killed in a car accident along with his 3 year old daughter. All this happened within 2 months. The one thing I learned through all of that was death is nothing to be feared. People move on to better places and rejoin the friends and family that they themselves have lost.

cyph, on the day the doctor walked in to the hospital room and told us that the end would be a matter of hours for my mom, what you just posted is the realization i came to.

standing there talking with my mother, who also knew she wouldnt be there tomorrow (but has somehow), i started to think that once she came to grips with the fact that she could pass at any time, she semed to be a lot more at ease than the rest of us who were extremely upset. she was cool and collective...as if she knew she was just moving on. that one day we would all be back together.

maybe it was my imagination and she was just in a state of shock, but she and i sat there and as the moments passed, we began to talk and smile and laugh.

maybe death is just a halftime show.

maybe part 2 is just waiting.

I know what your going through ive lost 3 family members to cancer my grandpa who was my life he didnt die from cancer but hes not here im sorry for whats going on but i do belive all things happen for a reason those reasons may not be what you want them to be or turn out the way you want them to but it was allready writen for her to go when the times comes all i can advise you to do is charish the time that is given and love her man cause im still depressed over my grandpas andits been tough 3 years i pray for u and your fam god give u strengh and courage bro if u need to talk bro about the after affects just hit me up casue i know what your going through to the t just remeber will all be together allways in your prayers bro

future... i feel for you man... i hope you two cherrish your time together. just remember that she WILL go to a better place, and that she'll be there waiting for you... also, like others said, life is not the end. life is just a short escapade from eternity. when you die you'll go back to the place u were before your life. where that place is i dont know, but you will go there until your next life... and you will see your mother up in that place... you'll get to communicate with her and love her up there just as you loved her here. but until then, just remember EVERYTHING she taught you, and keep those things close at heart so that you'll never forget them, and that you'll live your life by her ideals. whenever you need guidance, it's only a beat of the heart away... for you will have her in your heart and she will guide you through the rest of your life... i hope you get some more cherrishable moments with your mother before it's too late. just remember that, her soul will remain in your heart and it will guide you through life. if you ever need to talk... i hope the best for you and your mother in your final times before taking a break for a small click of time... but you will see her when that break is over. i believe you wont literally see her, but when you go, you'll be with her, and you'll know you'll be with her wherever you go. tho u guys may not be human form, you'll know each other without sight... and you'll communicate without words, but you'll be closer than ever...
