I figured I'd add this post because I work at a movie store and am sick and tired of people asking me what's good and then going off to rent crap. So here I go......
To get an idea if you will like my picks or not, I will run down my Top 10 movies. #1: The Crow(Brandon Lee) #2: The Professional(Jean Reno) #3: Scarface(Al Pacino) #4: Saving Private Ryan(Tom Hanks) #5: King Arthur(Clive Owen) #6: Friday Night Lights(Billy Bob Thornton) #7: Saw(Cary Elwes) #8: Band of Brothers(HBO Series)-This series counts as Top 10 #9: Gladiator(Russell Crowe) #10: Shade(Stuart Townsend) Mentionables- Office Space, Supertroopers, Donnie Darko, Bad Santa, etc... Releases for this past week- April 26th Blade: Trinity- Pretty good action movie. If you enjoyed the first 2 you will damn sure get a kick out of this one. (Starring Wesley Snipes, Jessica Biel, Ryan Reynolds) Ryan Reynolds makes this movie. Better story than the other 2 in my opinion and sweet ass visual graphics. The special features are worth checking out as well. Worth paying 4 bucks for at the video store. Darkness- Jesus, can we get any more shitty thriller/horror movies? (Starring Anna Paquin, Rogue from X-Men) It's about this house that all these kids were killed in and it's haunted or some crap, I don't really know cuz I turned it off after 15 minutes. It throws you into a story without even explaining the details. I wouldn't even rent this peice of crap if it was free. Wait till it comes out on TV and save your money for some toilet paper to wipe your ass with, cuz atleast the toilet paper serves a purpose. Lemony Snicket's: A Series of Unfortunate Events- A descent family movie with some laughs. (Starring Jim Carrey) 3 orphans are sent to stay with their uncle, Olaf, just to find out he wants the family fortune. A very well made movie with a Tim Burton feel to it. Did think that Carrey played way too much though. Cute kids, cool cameos, and funny bits. Worth paying 4 bucks for as well. Check back for the next reviews for: Hotel Rwanda, Ocean's Twelve, Sideways, Spanglish, The Machinist, Team America: World Police, National Treasure, Phantom of the Opera, and Meet the Fockers. -------------------- |

Icant belive The Crow made it into top 10! I love the movie, its dark edgy and kick ass, but its not epic. My number 1 movie of all time is BTTF....Back to the Future. And where was Pulp Fiction on that list?

QUOTE(|$aucy| @ 04/29/05 9:46pm) I just saw that recently. I saw a horror movie made by that company and starring misty mundae a few months ago. I was like "this movie has worse production values than porn!" I didn't realize that they DO make porn... LOL -------------------- |

If you like Gladiator then you've got to see The Alamo with Billy Bob Thorten. It's a great action film with a soundtrack as good as Gladiator.
