taking a trip? Options

now that its summer, vacations are around the corner. i have been loking at the headlines the past few weeks,
>americans getting kidnapped in mexico (poss. by the mexican police)
>the austrailian chick sentanced to 20 yrs in indionesia (?) for the dope that was in her pack...but it might not be hers...we will never know. still who wants to go to a jail in a forien county and never see your family ever again. i mean come on you prob. dont even speak the same shit!!!
>chick missing in aruba
>killings of americans all over the mideast and pacific rim.

anyone putting alot of thought into this b4 summer? affecting your travel plans? anyone afraid to leave the us now? i travel to canada alot of work, but thats not like really leaving the us. (like visiting north dakota only more backward..picture that!!!)

i dont know if i would, just wondering...i always wanted to visit Israel and egypt. and scottland (ancestory) africa. but now that everyone wants to kill americans ill google it all on the internet.

what yall think?

Silver, the Mexico thing is true, but only in certain areas. If you go to the Mexican Carribean (Cancun to Cozumel and now south along the shore), all North Americans and Europeans are gods! The police are everywhere, and not to bust tourists! They are there to keep tourists from being robbed, whether directly, or indirectly (buying something worth nothing). I understand the same is true of the resorts along the Pacific, although they are much older and run down. They are supposed to still be amazing and safe for everyone.
Where you run into trouble is stupid kids crossing to Tijuana and... crap, what's the border town south of El Paso, Texas... crap, it's worse than Tijuana... Oh, yeah, Juarez! Now that's supposed to be a scary place!
But, at the same time, that is supposed to be the best place for Americans to go to by things like Viagra for next to nothing (and from what I understand, it's usually the real shit).
So what's my point?

vacations are something my family dont do anymore since my aunts plane crashed on her way to italy by a terrorist but she got away with a busted leg and rib (lucky as hell) so we just go down to Cape Cod fpr like 2 weeks..
