Camalus has re-opened The Basement. This time, it is not a place to come to get a request made, but rather a place for artists and art fans to hang out. There are still art battles, contests and SOTW competitions, but no sig/banner requests. Everyone is welcome, whether you're an experienced graphic designer, a newbie looking for advice, or just someone who appreciates art. There's also a Drama Room, where anyone with beef can slug it out on a neutral forum. No one has authority to edit or delete posts, so it may get interesting.

I am a moderator there, and LOM has been spotted there on occasion. Hope to see many of you:

oh and frosty check this site out... Me and my friends made it last summer to promote our graphics. Since last summer weve had about 2000+ people come to us and ask for graphics for their websites. I just think its so cool to see YOUR work out on someone elses website where everyone who goes there sees it.

Yeah, between the original Basement and the Designer's crypt, we had in the order of 500-1000 requests in 6 months. We stopped doing them because it gets so stressful trying to keep up with all of them, not to mention you never have time to just create things freestyle. It usually takes me 3-4 hours per sig if I want to make a good one (they are all like 25-40 layers lol), so when I've got 3 or 4 requests done in a weekend I'm sick of photoshop and have to take a break for a few days. Then the cycle repeats....
