Here are a few hints I've picked up/been told since playing SH online:

1) Don't rush into rooms or out in the open (although I've been guiltly of this).
Be patient. Frustrated players get impatient and run themselves into trouble through carelessness.

2) Don't stand in front of a window or door when firing or scouting. I've been killed enough times this way to learn my lesson:-). Crouch/lean or stand/lean
for quick peaks through doors or windows.

3) Be wary of the wall 'bleed'. This is were you lean against a wall or door and your body bleeds through the other side where others can see you and even kill you. I brush against wall and then move off it a little so I am not touching it.

4) If you are being camped or enemy has strategic positions locked down, tip your hat to them. Then get creative or change weapons (i.e. from smg to sniper). If that doesn't work and your team gets slammed, move on to the next map - maybe you'll get them next time. Try to learn what they did or positions they occupied.

5) Have fun. It's just a game. Help your teammates and don't cuss too much or cheat.
