Ice, as soon as a cat. 5 hurricane or any hurricane for that matter plows through your house, I want you to say, if only I was prepared for that hurricane with 175 mph winds maybe my house wouldn't be in pieces, and these people that died, they should of been prepared, or evacuated, all 700,000 in 2 days notice. You're an idiot once again. And cleary you have no feelings for these fellow Americans that are struggling.

i have only one thing to add...khemist said NO had 700,000 and you said when did it double at 450,000 but if my math is right which it always is...i believe half of 700,000 would be 350,000

Instead of everyone talking smack here get the fuck down there and help. There is around 500,000 people in new orlean and yes they have plenty of time to get out BUT some don't have money or car. most of the peep that stay is poor and live in the project. I live about 8 hours away and we have taken in over 5,000 people in tupelo but it's seem everyone is going to Texas.

Hi Guys,
I live in Texas, in between Dallas and Ft. Worth, deep in Dallas Cowboy territory.
I spent yesterday and last night helping set up one local shelter here.
We recieved 4 bus loads of the good folk from NO this morning at about 1 am.
They were all people who had been stranded at the SuperDome for 4 or 5 days
without much to eat at all. They at last could bath and change into some clean clothes and got a safe place to sleep. We fed 200 of these most greatful people and then listened to their war stories all night long. They would say how they had felt more love in Texas shown to them last night than they had been shown in their own state. It was all very wonderful to see them and touch them and give them some help. I finally came on back home around 6 am this morning, very much in awe of the the sudden change a storm can bring to the life of an individual.
