Detecting Cheats Options

How in the hell do you determine (to a point of some certainty) that someone is using a cheat(s)? For example, tonight on COD2 a guy named LAGGY BITCH appeared to be cheating (I spectated a while and watched him) ...

twice the score of anyone else <LI>frequently seemed to kill guys with one shot to anywhere on the body <LI>made kills where the victim was not visible (bushes/etc in line of sight) and at times single shots from 300 yards away <LI>made kills at long distances with a pistol
• seemed to know where people were before visually spotting them (based on his movements)
• etc.

Many players were commenting about him and eventually left the game. Is there anything we can do prior to punkbuster? This was really frustrating.

Unfortunately are options are not just limited but almost non-existent without a client side anti-cheat.
I still have hope IW will make some type of formal announcement regarding their plans to incorporate a AC in the patch. Until then, will can only make a judgment call as the situation arises.
The evidence would have to be pretty overwhelming, I've played against a few people who I was sure was cheating. After watching them in spec, I realized they were just damn good.

There has been rampant talk about cheating.
The truth is, there are only a handful of cheats out for COD2 & each one doesn't work for the majority of the people who try them out.

I have suspected quite a few people of cheating in our COD2 server. After spectating many I have only truly suspected 2 or 3 so far, though. Most have just been very good. At worst, several have been using cham skins, but hiding it fairly well (cham skins allow you to see players through obstacles such as buildings). I don't know anything about how kills are determined, but there seems to be a larger number of head shots in COD2 than there are in COD or UO or even MOHAA. I've seen guys point at my shins and get a head shot at nearly point blank range. However, I have also gotten these kills on people. My first day on our COD2 server I was hitting some guys at a good range on my first shot and getting headshots. I wasn't even aiming down the barrel at them. I honestsly thought one map people were going to accuse me of hacking cuz I was getting so many one shot kills on people at a distance.
Of course, I still get negative scores most of the time, lol.

Druid, can we force ss on people? This is about the only way I know to prove that someone is hacking. Of course it's a hassle, but what else do we have?

On AA, we have always like 2 admins on that are takin screenshots on everyone to make sure even when they're noobs... just every now and then. What was hilarious was a noob using radar and yet he was just crawling on the ground cautiously, (tactic on a map) when some just rush. So takin screenshots of these people help...

Yea, one time, there were 4 people close to each other, and only one saw him, so i just sprayed them with PPSh on Leningrad and got all of them with a headshot... the bashing is a lot easier too, best record was 5 in a row, but i didn't die that made it end, some one was shooting so i couldn't bash him...

i was guarding a staircase and i was at the top, i had my thompson shooting at this guy running up the steps and he killed me and all i did was wound him?? i had my View--> down the scope on him and put in more than 5 rounds??

just ban the cheaters from our servers it will make the servers happier
