it just seems that being christian is becoming cool or what not. people seem to be more open about their religion and you see more stuff like wwjd and that song by kayne west jesus walks. and a lot of fish... just curious
I am a roman catholic but have since been so disgusted with the church that I have sadly and unfortunately lost a great deal of interest in christianity.
i dont really follow any church... just believe... 1 response? odd... i just remembeer that fter 9-11 the churchs were full all around the country and wondered if these things stayed or left. i pay more attention to what i do cuz it might be my last and value life a little more i guess.

i dont believe in anything i read, i feel the same way about the news...i must be able to taste, feel, see, or smell it. Not saying i dont believe in god, but my personal feeling of the matter are far diff from what some book says, "bible". I have been to church three times in my life, and i caught noticed that most peole there have mad issues. I personaly see it as a therapy meeting group over issues that can be hadeld at home. When i go or when i use to, i felt alot of negative energy. Im not trying to knock it, i think its a great thing for those that are a lil waeker minded, just not for me.
just to share one reason why i do is cuz i really should be dead or really fucked up, from a car accident i was in. it took me three years to recover but i lived, when i shouldnt have. i should have had my right arm tore off also, is was cought in between the cars when the car i was in hit the other car for the second time. our cars rear end went airborne and slammed sideways into the opposing car. (it was a head on accident, we hit twice) i was wearing a gold cross in my left ear, the right side of my head was tore apart from the windshield and the pillar but the cross was crushed into a ball and full of blood, funny thing was all the blood was on the right side of my head and face. NONE on the left. thats also whjy i joined the fire dept. figured i owed them one. anyways thats why i sometimes have trouble saying what i feel, i had alot of trouble expressing thoughts after the accident but i am like 10000 times better since then. i had massive brain damage, amazing how the brain heals, well thought i would share...

So you dont believe in history? You cant taste, feel, see or smell history, but it really did happen. You dont believe in the universe or other planets? You have never been to them, seen them (most of them), felt.....
Do you get what I am saying? Just because you dont taste, feel, see or smell something, doesnt mean it is not real.

Some book? The book is thousands of years old. Has been transcribed into hundreds of languages, has been read by more people then any other book in the history of the world, including all "history" text books. Todayts New Testament has been proven to be incredibally accurate as it was when it was written 2000 years ago. This "some book" is believed to be true by more people then any other book ever written. Not just that, but the teachings in the New Testament are nothing short of genius. Read it some time and you will understand what I am talking about.

You came to this conclusion after going to church all of three times? You got to know all the people in the church and their "mad issues" after three whole trips to it? Was there more then 4 people in this church?

Once again, three visits and you came to this conclusion?

What type of church did you go to? I consider church as a learning center. It teaches me how to be a better person. I learn things that I would not of learned on my own. I only feel better about the world after I go to church and see the things that are being done their. My church goes out and repairs schools, they have volunteers that fix houses for widows and single moms, they do free oil changes for widows and single moms. My church just donated $700,000 worth of heart equipment to a childrens hospital in Cuba. The doctors there said it would save hundreds of lives a year and said they never could of afforded the equipment.

I use to think this way as well. I spent the first 27 years of my life as an atheist. I couldnt understand how people could believe in God. Then I started reading, not the bible, but first century history books. You would be amazed at what you will find in those. One thing led to another and now my views are completely changed.
I am not trying to knock you or belittle you. What I am saying is have an open mind and an open heart. Read more. Listen more. Dont prejudge something on 3 trips in probably around 14 years? Pay attention to the good that comes from churches and organized religion. It far outweighs the negative that is portrayed in the media and the theatres.
im goin with ashe on this one.. soup your entitled to your opinion and all but you should give it another chance.. i got a friend that is athiest and i am constantly arguing with him but also hearing his side and i get where your comin from..
