for the past 3 days whenever i go on vent/ts people either can't hear me, or i'm really low for some reason. i haven't done anything to them. i'm not quite sure why this is happening but its making me angry. it used to just be i'm faint so i'd speak up and everything is fine, but now its no one can hear me at all. vent worked okay for me yesterday but TS last night and right now aren't workin. i was trying to keep up a conversation with Thomas but he would talk, but apparently couldn't hear what i said back. i disconnected and reconnected a few times with no difference.

any suggestions ?

Probably need to adjust the recording properties in Windows, turn the mic record level up (or turn on the mic boost checkbox).

There's also outbound volume settings in both Vent/TS that allows you to tailor your outbound volume.

outbound is on 10, still nothing.

vent also has it's own settings man. Try those

i got it going now.

In case someone else has the same problem, it might be helpful if you posted what it was and the fix.

I don't know how long the dual voice over will last, but I would like to see us migrate back to vent. We seem to have the bugs worked out and it is superior to TS. We need everyone to try it to see if there are any problems. So please, give vent a shot next time you want to talk. Don't just go straight to TS.
Oddly enough, it seems to me that we have divided over the programs. I may be crazy, but it seems the COD2 guys have adopted vent and the UO guys have stuck with TS. This makes it a pain in the ass for me. I try to play both equally and look to see who's on and see nothing but the guys in COD2. Vent is better! Give it a shot. I know this isn't entirely true. I see some UO guys there too, plus other dual gamers. But it seems like vent is still the secondary program, and as superior as it is, it should be the first.

What's really pissin me off is everyone in private channels in 3 and even non clan guys in there like Saucy... What's going on!?!?! I wanna talk to them but they're non accesable.

there have been instances for both feezy and i were everyone left the channel and went to one we can't access...but oh well.

one of the problems with TS and me is that they can't always hear me if they are in the game and i'm not yet, and Sgt. Thomas pretty much can't hear me unless he disconnects and connects again just to hear me. it pains me a lot because Thomas is a blast to play with and talk to.


i'm definitely for Vent.

I know it's goofy, but it happened to me last night. I have a headset with a mike on/off switch... Mine was off last nite for an hour before I realised why no-one could hear me. So that'd be the first check.

Except for the UO stock server for some reason. people seem to hear me better on TS, but I'll give vent another go.

i can hardly ever hear you hell ! you're so faint. all i can hear is your snivelry (is that a word??) laugh after every time you got thomas, me, or goose. you filthy bastard, you.

The only reason you don't hear me saying much is because I mostly just laugh snively when on TS, Mr.Goose doesn't die too much by me, so he hears me talk more than others- or say "Ohhhhh" in French, when I die.... but I must say Thomas has a worse snively laugh than me..... paricular when he rips a burst of gunfire to cut me in half. Seeing as you don't get to own me too much [or hardly ever ] you aren't getting much of a chance to develope your own snively cackle!

Sorry dude, but you really need to stop talking about shit you don't know... Saucy is the man, and he can come and go as he pleases. And we have a MOB channel because we only want MOB in there.... and for your information, they were in a scrim.
