We almost moved to Austin a few years back right before I started with TimeWarner/AOL. Housing if very affordable there.

Not by Texas standards! Housing there is some of the most expensive in Texas. Now here in Dallas houses are dirt cheap.

Housing is too freaking expensive up here... we paid $250K for a Malibu style house that was built in the early 70's, in 2003. Now the same house in our neighborhood is going for over $500K and the townhouses are going for $250. Just crazy. I need to move to a more affordable area but I can't be a Dallas Cowboys fan. Any ideas?

Hey Pez, I hear Ya. Im looking for a house now and im looking in a suberb of Chicago called Schaumberg. I live there now, but in a town house. The houses are going for 400k. Thats to start!! Many are around 500 to 700. Housing here costs an arm and a leg also.
