hey do you guys think a person that gets killed and then goes to spectate to find the person who killed them is cheating I was playing today and there was one person who kept going ot specatate after I killed him so he could see where I was I got one SS of it and amok saw him doing it as well

Sokhar no I'm afraid it is not cheating. It may be poor sportsmanship but not cheating.Having a screen-shot of him in spectator proves only that he is there not why.Sometimes a person get frustrated when getting killed and doesn't know where from especially when there are only a few players.

When I see someone doing that I just try and imagine what it would be like to suck so bad that is the only way I can get a kill.

ya but the thing is this guy when he is not doing that is normally a good player but today he did it everytime I killed him I told him in the game that that was not very cool to be doing that and he slowed it down a bit but still did it I just dont get it whats the point

Hey, I've done it before. When I keep getting nailed and can't figure out why I've gone to spec to see if the *other* guy is cheating. On the Pure server I've never really felt the need. Maybe he was just checking up on you?

every time I dont think so I was moving around and he could not find me so he used spec to find me

In my opinion if your sure thats why he went to spec and he did it several times, it's cheating. It's using spec the same way other people use a wallhack skin. The big question is, you have to be absolutely sure that's what he was doing.
I've played several times where I would go in and out of spec. With me it wasn't because I was checking on someone, just trying to entertain my son while I play.

the person is doing it again today as soon as I made a few kills he went to spec for 2 secs then came right to where I was hiding and I could not be seen from anywhere and he did it over and over and over other ppl caught him as well

I can vouch for that this time. He usually is a good player, but to be honest it's one of those Band of Brother's Names, so it could be anyone (a newcomer perhaps). Anyways, what can you do. After he was confronted a few times he left after that map.

Maybe you should say something in front of the others who also possibly feel the same way you do.....just bring it up but be cool about it.

Let him know that everytime he goes to spectate it shows everyone on the board.

Maybe he doesn't realize that you know what he's doing.

Nothing worse than embarassing someone!

Also, makes him lose credability in the eyes of the other players as they see him go in and out of spectator mode.

I told him a few times in the game and he slowed it down a bit but kept doing it and then the game that chaplin was in I told the player to stop doing that then chaplin saw him do it and said WTF to the guy but he did not say anything back and then the player left about 5 mins later

I would have to agree, I think it would be considered very poor sportsmanship though not cheating in the usual sense.

I too will go into spec on occasion if I keep getting annihilated and can't tell from where, or to shadow the guy for awhile to see if he's cheating. But to keep going into spectate mode time and time again, for the obvious purpose of finding out where you are.....pretty cheesy. People that do that will undoubtedly wind up on the top of the church on Destroyed Village and blown up repeatedly....at least they will if King is around to run the mod
