I've come to the conclusion a long time ago Axis weapons ain't worth a shit. Run up behind an Allie unload a whole clip in to his back and dies with just a couple shots left. If it ain't a head shot or they are running low on health forget it. Maybe this is why most people goes to Allies and makes the teams so uneven. My 2 cents.

that isn't true alot of people love the german mg too...i do myself prefer allies just because it's more accurate from far away i believe but 1on1 german is better cause it shoots faster...that's my 2 cents

yeah when u use the stg u just have to draw ur opponents in closer to u and stay under cover more because of the bars range but u have be careful up close with them too though cause of their killing power which means sometimes u got to get a little more creative than u would with the bar. but i liked dwm cause it put the bar more on even footing with the stg rate of fire advantage and it was one of the few servers out their running it ;(

Explain to me why you want to keep it CKR. What advantage does it have over Druid's Mods? I'm serious MC; I don't understand, especially when I see 0/28.

Since the adoption of ckr, there have been more "quality" players on Goodfellas. By quality I mean players from clans that are reputable and that I have heard of. They came to the server BECAUSE of ckr. Personally I prefer ckr anyway. When I joined {MOB}, GF was running Druid's mod and empty a lot of the time.

The God's honest truth is that MOHAA is shrinking a little every day, and the glory days are long gone. That's why the server is empty.

Ok, I understand your point, but I don't remember when GF wasn't full of great players. The competition has always been pretty good. Last night I started playing about midnight on the 33rd, and then I played until about noon the next day. The server was always full. Moreover, in several games I was probably the worst player there. The competition was excellent all night long.

Now I'm not here to promote the 33rd; I just use that server as an example. Toolclan was full too. I don't think the competition factor is a legitimate argument. I used to play on GF all night. People (noobs like me and great players like Anvil) have always enjoyed playing here. From what I've seen this summer, there are still many out there who enjoy this game.

keep it ckr plz as i like playing there now but i never played due to that stupid mod that was on there before...i really can't stand a BAR shooting 25 rounds quickly because atleast now you can either have a fast shooting gun or a more powerful one not the exact same thing and the BAR isn't naturally like that so why make it like that. leave game as is and also should take the gay tanks out in my opinion cause i just get shot through them and i think it just gives hackers more to shoot through where you can shoot back but dont know where the heck they are.

Those are all good points, especially about the tanks. Of course, hackers shouldn't last here long; if you see one, contact the Console. Perhaps you can help me understand why the non-ckr servers have so many more players?

Well I don't know. I agree with you on the stupid maps: I hate the dogs on TC. Doesn't CKR give the Nazis an advantage with the faster rate of fire of the STG? Since most of our maps require close-in fighting, the STG is too much of an advantage, don't you think.

well, the stg is good but i can be pretty mean with the BAR on a run 'n' gun and prefer BAR no matter what map.

Mona Lisa maybe you need to come back Castle Anthrax. We use CKR and it is nearly full most of the time.

I may have an old man's memory, but didn't {MOB} change the IP's on their servers a short while ago? I think that may have more to do with the decrease in traffic than anything else.

Haven't read here in some time, so I guess I'm replying to myself. You know the point above is interesting. I now believe in CKR. Since I switched to the rifle, it doesn't matter anyway; I never liked the BAR, so I don't use it. The BAR fires too slow in CKR. For me, it doesn't matter.

What about this? Why not change the #4 to CKR and see what happens. It has the numbers, but the custom realism really bores me. If you want to experience a good example of how custom realism blows, fight on the 33rd with an MG. On the 33rd, rifles work fine, but machine guns don't kill; let me clarify, YOUR MG won't kill, but the 33rd's will kill you. Their idea of custom realism is one sided: they kill you with machine guns, but your MG is loaded with pencils.

I understand that #4 is not in RD's control, but is it imposible to go to CKR there? I'd love to once again be able to play MOHAA with my favorite players, the MOB family.

i think its fine the way it is but what would it be like if we turned #4 into our new goodfellas! as in out stats,missionary and what have you on it! but it should still have the druids mod!

I think the game has finally died at least on the MOB server. I check frequently and the server is always empty. I know people are devoting alot of their time on other games which is understandable. I just wished we could all get together at least once a week for old-times sake because when this game finally ends, I'm going to miss it like an old friend.

I know what you mean. However, if you look there are still pleanty of excellent servers that are full all the time: Chosen Few, Castle Anthrax, 33rd, among others. I've been playing MOHAA as much as ever, so for me it hasn't died. The other games aren't as good; really, they suck! MOHAA is much more fun than any game out there. #4 has possibilities, but I don't like all the tanks and boxes in the way of everything. Make it CKR.

POB, play on The Chosen Few. Several MOB and Regs play there often.

I don't know for sure, but I'm talking about the tanks that interfer with my sniping, or vases near a wall so I can't get a good lean, or boxes placed so that ambush killing is made more difficult. Also, let me throw in boxes that give easy access to roofs. If a fighter goes to the trouble to climb to a roof only to be sniped and have to start over, then that's a deterrent to all the trouble it takes to climb there. With boxes giving easy access to the roof, too many fighters try to go there: makes a boring Crossroads (my new favorite map).

well gomer read my post again maybe you will see where i said such as jumping 30 feet in the air and that other BS...CKR isn't really even considered a mod anymore just pretty much the way to play the game. im talking mods like the tanks in GF, where you have infinite ammo, elevators to take you on top of roofs...anyone who likes that stuff is a noob...i guarantee you can't find one good player who likes playing with those conditions.

Funny MC, but you have to admit, I've perfected the ambush killing style into an art form. Not to brag too much, but I'm deadly. You can't put sniping in the same category, can you? Do you really consider sniping camping? I don't.

Also, there is a difference between ambush killing and camping. I think campers hide behind sofas or behind doors in dark rooms. I camp where the killing's good, in the heat of the action, and if I can go 5 to 1 at each location, then to me that's success. Of course, without all the runners and gunners dying in front of me, my numbers are lower. Servers with too many campers are boring: not enough victims. I also have worked on my hand-to hand, which is much improved, if I do say so myself, and I often mix it up.

What strikes me as hilarious, is the way you guys fight in OGL. Isn't camping a major strategy? That's what Ramos tells me. Anyway, I don't really care if you like it or not, but I love this topic, so please keep it going. I'll be a Colonel in no time.

I think it's kind of hard to say that considering you are in the same spots on every map. If I know you are in the server with me, I know the places to look, as do most other people who have played with you for a while. It's not hard to get you out of any of the spots you like to "ambush" in.

I have always admired your ability to justify your side of any discussion with such poetic and literary finesse. You have taken ambush killing to a truly noble art form and from what I have witnessed guys are standing in line to run in front of your gun, otherwise why would they do it so often?
