I think it's ridiculously immature of everyone who makes fun of peruvians lack of proper english skills. Jesus christ, he's trying, isn't that enough? In any country besides america when people attempt the speak the native language, they are always encouraged and helped along with it. I think it's shameful, arrogant, and downright irrational to continually belittle peruvians use of english.

El P needs to consider the impact of his statements. Multilingual, OK, but nevertheless, a writer expresses his or her thoughts in understandable and complete sentences. Standard English would make it easier for everyone involved.

I know this is an international gaming community. And Americans (at least us US-ers) suck at speaking English, and as I understand it, most people of the world don't speak their native language well. When Lithium was new to TLD I made a post that made fun of his use of English. I did not know that it wasn't his native language. I just thought he was another one of us ignint murcans. I think I played it off well, cuz I am a well meaning asshole, as I think you all know. But, when you disagree or are upset with somebody the easiest way to attack them is where they are weakest.
Pernoobian can be very controversial and sometimes arrogant in his posts. So people have a couple of choices. They can take a logical arguementitive approach and try and put him down that way, or they can crack on his poor use of English. Clearly one way is easier than the other. As ML points out, it's not so much that people are offended by his use of English as by what he says. So, it's easier to insult him in that area than take the time to explain why his comments are stupid.
That makes sense, right?
Not that it makes it right, just looking at the logic behind it.

I am gonna have to agree with you there Saints. I don't always agree with what the guy says (hell, I don't know if I ever agree) but his english skill should not be ridiculed. One of our regs has a little trouble with english (although I think its fine) and he doesn't want to post on our forums for this exact reason.

personally i see a diffrence in the way he types. sometimes he posts so very well like he did in the last one (being drunk) and the other times he posts like it done intentionally. i could give 2 shits less, if he was worried about his grammer or what people thought he would use a spell check. so why the hell do you saints give a crap about this anyways? i dont think he does or he would do someting about it. there are translator services out there that are free in the first place. plus it kinda gets him riled up and i think he enjoys the drama...why else would he come here and pop shit?

I'm gonna have to agree, It has been bugging me to see multiple insults about his English after every post he makes, and actually it does bother him, why do you think he comes back with another post flaming you guys, because it pisses him off. It has gotten a little better, I recall on moh truth when it got personal, and I don't think that should be tolerated on any forum.
