I just read where you are from. Heck, I grew up in Odessa, went to school at Permian (MOJO, woot).

I didnt like Friday Night Lights very much.

The author of "Friday Night Lights" has a bounty on his head if he steps back into Odessa anytime, lol. The book is a bit different than the movie. A bit more harsh overall in the book. The author actually came and lived in Odessa be-friended alot of folks...they all thought it was going to be a book about the History of Permian. Permian was the most winning football prgram in Texas for three decades. But the folks got something else instead..lol

Anyway....I currently live in Davidson, NC. Right in your backyard d-day!
