I was just in COD UO Stock (Foy) and was kicked. Something odd happened because to my knowledge there were no admins in the game. The message was strange as well. I was kicked for 20 minutes by PUNKBUSTER by "player vote." Someone has figured out how to manipulate Punkbuster. Could someone check the log and figure out what happened. I'd greatly appreciate it.

It occured at 5:23 pm, Friday Jan 27. Also, check a bit earlier in the same match and you'll notice the same thing happened to Afghan Fire. I have a strong suspicion who it was, but I'd like to see the evidence before I make direct accusations.

I've done a little digging around and I've become concerned about what this could mean for all of us. There is a way to use PB to vote kick a player if four people vote. My kick wasn't simply a kick, it was a 20 minute ban. Because it was done through PB, I'm not sure the logs will show any of the activity. At least three players complained of these bans in this one game, so someone was spending more time pulling down the console than engaging enemies on the battlefield.

I was on that night and it happened to a guy called magic mush about 10 mins after old hammatime,it gave the same reason as before "player kicked by player vote-admin deceision"

I Dont know if its along the same lines or not but last night in between 1230 and 3 am i was on in rien valley when it almost seemed like someone went into my pc. my processes came up and then my anti spyware went nuts! ive always had a problem with that map but it wasnt like that this time-just strange.

Only if I've assinged those 4 people with enough PB power points to enable them to collectively kick a player.
PB power points are assigned by player's GUID, not just anyone on the server.
Kicks through PB are on a 20 minute timelimit
This was an issue with someone not aware of the guidelines everyone agrees to when using the PB power point system and abusing their ability.
The issue has been addressed, if the player does it again they will lose their admin privledges.

This sounds more like a spyware/spamware problem.
There is nothing anyone can do to effect your PC the way you describe.

Thanks for the quick response Druid. And for calming my fears. Must have been a stealth admin because I didn't notice any MOB insignias ... they must have obscured their identity.
