the NEW stuff is crap.

Metal was born in the 80's and there was (and still is) none finer than metallica.

Thier sound has changed, but their old stuff will tear your ass.

I loved old Metallica.

I don't listen to metal really, unless I get in a mood. I mostly listen to a wide range of stuff from NOFX to Jack Johnson to Less Than Jake (hence my name) to Setzer to Gimme Gimmes to Radiohead, blah blah blah. I grew up listening to mostly punk and rockabilly in the 80's and I hated pop music back then, now I love tuning into the 80's channel on our tv while I do work around the house.... it's pretty sad. biggrin.gif

Isis
I like almost everything, but I don't like any of the above mentioned bands. Hey, I got Kittie on my sig, isn't that enough for you people?
flatliner
i knew i was out of touch,

but the names of those bands are about as relevant to my old ass as these words...

flim flam

bieezle bozzle

meepzorp

I guess i should look a few of them up.

all european?

DesertDemon
Metallica rules, but they didn't invent metal......Black Sabbath is where it all started.
flatliner
Saabbath was awesome, especailly when ozzy was really torn up, but i would have considered them hard rock and not metal. Metallica tunes thier guitars down half a step to sound even darker... not that they were the original by ALL means, but they really helped to propel the music out of the 80's...
