Say: CNQ in Tuchola is great if you have enough players but please no tanks on CNQ..it sucks. CTF, HTF, RSD and DOM are all worth of considering. Rifles only wont get server filled with players...and just for pleasure Lipton maybe you can let BA away for beginning.

Well we already have so many BA severs... why have another one. A lot of players do not like BA or domination or ctf. I basically just sick of camping tank pussy's. The sever right now is a BA sever and no one uses it? Just trying to find something different and fun to play. For the guys that haven't tried rifles only before.. go try it. It is really fun, and it takes some skill.

However i'll go with whatever the majority wants.

I would prefer a cod2 server mix with ctf,sd,tdm

And i agree with Slim on this one that barbarosa2 is always empty.
And if you think about it we have 2 Tdm servers and 3 BA servers so our members can choose what type of game they want to play, but for the players who like rifles only ,ctf or sd they have to go and find different server.

we have stocks, barb, cod2 TDM, and cassino.
why not do something else? and i'm sorry but rifles only always are filled. enough with maps with tanks, thats what our other servers can be used for.

the other option like shadow said is to change it to a cod2 sever... we are slowly moving towards cod2 with the patch going to be out soon. A rifles only cod2 sever is a even better idea then a uo sever... maybe we should look into that.. With like 4 UO severs maybe another cod2 sever will do some good.

since we have a member MAKING a map, and UO is still popular, based on peoples use and no PB for COD2 I would say ditch solmensk and bring in bobs beta map.

IMHO, both TDM and SD are better played on smaller maps, rather than larger ones. Rifles are more suited to larger maps. So SD or TDM rifles only seems like a poor match. This from a guy who plays Barb exclusively with a bolt action rifle.
I wont play SD at all unless there is re-spawning, and I like my TDM games to be close-up frag-fests, so wouldn't play rifles only TDM.

We have enough BAS servers. Personally, I'd love to see an all CNQ server with different maps. That might build up enough of a following that a majority of players at any given time would actually know how to play CNQ, which would be nice.

my vote still lies with rifles only TDM. and if doesn't work out like we wanted. get rid of it. but doing another map with tanks is retarded.

to your comment stickman, i think that rifles in close quarters are amazing. people that are good like that show they can do more then sit their fat ass in a tank or spray with a PPSh like everyone does on barb.

And if you're ticked off at the PPsH sprayers... stop trying to do CQB against them with a rifle. A rifle is not a CQB weapon, if all you have is a rifle you need to keep your distance where the PPsH is less accurate. As always, use the proper weapon for the job at hand. (In fact, on Tuchola, you could spawn with a SMG and pickup a rifle off of one of the bunk beds.)

Same thing with tanks... they're sitting ducks for the crafty infantry. Pity we can't break down stats on whether a tank was killed by another tank, a pak gun, or infantry toting an anti-tank round. I'd bet the majority of kills are probably the infantry with the anti-tank rounds.

my vote goes for either rifles TDM, or Bob's. not smolensk CTF or CNQ. or anything that has to do with smolensk at all .

well this is going to be hard decision to make, seen as how we have so many different opinions. I think BA sever should be out of the question.. right now we have enough of them... if you want a new map for BA change the map on of the other severs. I would really like to see a another cod2 sever... with the patch coming out soon it would be a step in the right direction.

Tuchola forest is now on 74 (if I remember well) and its darn HOT...for a winter map that is ..

There's discussion about adding a server, but it will require people to be more committed to sending in donations on a month to month basis.

I KNOW tuchola forrest (sp i hope?) has tanks but after playing it i feel you are at a great disadvantage using a tank!so many places to hide and getting stuck.it was much easier to hit it on foot.

Were not adding a sever we are changing a sever that is never used, and is pointless having inless we do something different with it.

Although Rifles only isn't my favorite choice, I will do the best I can do no matter what the server.

Hey Slim, small point here, but the word is server and not sever ... unless you mean you want us to sever a server and then the whole thing gets damn complicated.

I believe Scrap's point was, if you are interested in the direction MOB takes, a contribution of even a few dollars goes a long way towards helping us consider adding servers. I would stress that a consistent, monthly donation would be even better. If we know we have the revenue stream and we can attract players, we'll certainly add more servers.

74 is kicking now, thanks to Bob's Tuchola map. It will be fun to see it get support. Everyone should be encouraging the players that discover Tuchola to stick their heads in the forums and say hello.

Ya, Scrappy's map is really getting attention. Even during the day today, it was drawing some real good players.

As for the rifle only servers, I am not a fan. The rifle is a weapon that requires to much concentration to be one of the best at. I am not opposed to a new server or changing one around to add some spice however. I like smaller maps such as the ones used in Modern Weapons servers. In fact, those servers are damn hard to get into sometimes because they offer something other than the norm.

I tell ya what would be fun...take the stock map server and spice it up a bit. Run some smaller maps without tanks etc in conjuntion with the stock maps that have tanks etc. A name change would have to incur.

To further the variety, have a rifle only night maybe on a weekend like Sunday during the day. There are tons of answers without getting our panies in a bunch lol.

As far as voting on a rifle only server.....I did not see an option to say no or I would have voted...peace all!



oh ya for the record, I have been taking in comments from people that are coming into Tuchola the last couple of days. This is what I am hearing.

THis is a cool change from the boring stock maps.

It is a little big, but when it is full, that changes quickly.

I like this map better than Barb......I hear that alot.

just today, I heard Doyle say it was a cool map and he liked it better than barb and the desert storm map.

Also today, someone said all that was missing was trip wires and mines .

You know.....this could pave the way for an "all MOB" map server. Hell we could even make some small maps without tanks etc...just a thought.

I like that suggestion! It would go with the whole guerrilla- style of play that seems to make people like the map. Wonder what Scrap would think of that idea.

As far as rifle-only servers, I'm guilty of sneaking away once in a while to play on a rifle only server. It makes for a fun change, not something I'd like to do all the time, but as a welcome vacation from typical base assault, a rifle-only server is a blast. The odd thing is that I never use a rifle on MOB servers! LOL.

Grego's clan is running Tuchola with AWE (tripwires, parachuting in, etc). Apparently, they're not having any issues with gamestate.

Snow + tripwires is tricky, however. The grenades stick out quite a bit against the snow but could be useful in certain spots.

It's up to Druid whether he wants to support AWE on .76 and how much AWE he wants to configure.

take cassino and do what you want with it slim... i support that. if mob wanted a tdm cod2 server ya had that when GPF had it up... lack of support for it then...

However there is lots of different opinions and ideas which is really good, But this need to come to a head. We need a list of all the servers that people would like to see. Then put up a pole let everyone vote. That way it is far and everyone has a equal chance of getting what the want. Any problems or concerns with that?

First this has nothing to do with adding a server*, it is changing a shitty one we already have, like I already posted once. Second I'm a poor university student that cannot help out at this time, so i guess I should apologize to you for that. Anyway I guess you can stratch out the post above this one cause... majority doesn't rule. It all depends on much how money you pay, the more you pay the more voice you have in MOB.

I'm really disappointed in the way that this was handle... and don't get this wrong. This post is NOT because I did not get the server that I would have rather... but the way the changing of the servers was handle.

Hey Slim, I didn't mean to offend. I was simply trying to echo Scrap's point that consistent donations gives us the confidence to add more servers. I was just trying to point out that MOB has to ensure their financial viability. Adding servers, or changing out poor performing ones is a delicate balance. We've all seen lots of popular servers go dead for the smallest reasons ... can you say Smolensk? Majority does rule, but the financial balance sheet has the final say. If we can afford new servers, we'll add them.

And as for majority rule - I thought you received a clear message, Lipton was the only one who supported your idea of a rifle-only server with Shadow suggesting COD2. The server you wanted to change was the 74, correct? It is now hosting Scrapyard's map and is rocking all the time. Seems like the majority is speaking loud and clear on that point. How is that "straight up bullshit?"

I say we look into a change that we can all have fun with. Fun is the reason we are all here right? I play rifles only once in awhile and they have thier place running on select maps, but hey, I still think we should have a custom map server and add some goodies just for a change. As far as paying, I was told straight up that I was to donate when ever I could as much as I can afford. I will continue to do so as soon as my dead beat customers start sending me my money lol. I hate being on a 60 day billing period

Again this is not about me being pissed that I never got a rifles only server. Really I don't care. If I wanna play a rifles only that bad, I would go play on another server. The thing is I don't understand is who made the decision to change the server? That is what is bullshit. I guess there was no point to this whole topic, because whoever it was went ahead and change the server to Scrapyard's server anyway.

Wish my test server didn't have lag issues (downside of using a cheap host like EscapedTurkey).... or I'd offer that up for a rifles-only TDM server or as a COD2 server. With the lag issues that we encountered last week, the last thing I want to do is drive more traffic to it.

From what I see from the topic there was not that many people screaming out wanting the server to be change to Bob's map. What happened to the Cod2 server? The new patch is out? What I really don't get is how the decision was made to change severs? It doesn't make sense to me. But apparently the "majority" of people in the topic, wanted to change the server to Bob's map.. I don't know maybe i'm missing a few pages of the thread.

Like I said before, the way that the server was change was bullshit. It should have been handle differently. I did't see anywhere in the topic everyone agreeing on changing the server. SomeONE made a decision, to change it. Like I said it should a marjority... I did't see a vote or anything, so that people can discuss whether or not they want Bob's map, like I did for the rifles. (Nothing against Bob or his map.)

Anyway i'm just confused on how all this came to be.

But whatever the server is rocking now... so I guess it can't be bullshit.

The server is incredibly busy, and the map is sweet, i don't see any reason to complain about the change.
