miked- pronouced in 2 syllables mike-d is me.
The name comes from what I have done for the past 20+ years which is manage computers. It is based on the unix concept of a daemon (a semi-autonomous background process that has the ability to react and process based on a configuration file). I chose it because my real name is Mike, my last name begins with a D and at the time, I was in a semi-autonomous position managing servers for an ad agency (when I wasn't accidentally leaving a trail of .38 special target ammo from the parking deck, to my office, to the wiring closet to the server room). It's amazing how a little accidentally dropped ammunition can increase the respect that you get from ad executives and Art Directors.
I've been playing on the MOB servers off and on since I switched from MOHAA (where I often played on the FBI servers). Once Barb came out, I thought that the MOB servers were by far the most fun place to play it. So other than some time on some servers that specialize in amphib assault or testing of AHz maps, I mostly play the BARB, Smolensk,Tuchola maps. Recently I've finally gotten onto Vent and I really like gaming with the MOB and MOB Regs guys on BARB and in "The Forest".
