Just wondering if anyone has had a recent issue with lag, not a long running issue like Lip, but recently. I used to ping around 50, and get about 50-60 fps, but now i am pining at 85+ and it is getting worse.... I know there are threads to follow to fix it, but before that, I wanted to ask if it is an epidemic. I am on dsl, and it is running fine (i can clock the speed). Just curious.

Yeah, been gettin some of that too this last week in the forest. Last nite we kept getting the ol "Connection Interruption" message, then the server kicked us out. It appeared to be a crash of all servers except COD 2. Then they restarted and all was well again. But yes, I have been experiencing crazy ping and lag too.

I heard that the server were originally based in Dallas and now they've moved to Chicago. This means higher pings for some. Yesterday Tuchola had several Connection Interrupted's in a row and then all the servers went down for about a minute. This was probrably just a mass server restart.

you and sabot should turn off your exploits ,and tell mod too! i havent had any probs on tf but in barb and stocks ive seen the conn issue.

My code writer assures me that my exploits and mods are NOT the problem here! lol.

I ended up resetting all the servers last night around 10:30 while attempting to fix the MOHAA server. It appeared to correct their problem.

The COD2 servers had bad lag issues about a week ago which was traced to some Punkbuster settings. They have been running well for the last week.

Earlier this week, there was a major hop node near Chicago (4.68.127.165) that had problems. My ping went from the normal 20ms up to over 100ms for most of the day. If you continue to have lag issues, you might want to download the free "PingPlotter" program and do a trace to 8.9.4.75. It can tell you right away if there is a problem near your end or at the server end.

I have a ping around 140 as usual(from Norway). I never had lag trouble om MOB servers before, but this week I have experienced lag trouble several times on both Barb and TF.

it says 51-53, but when i get on... low and behold, lag mania..... is it me?
