I came by to express my deepest gratitude for the tremendous gameplay your servers continually provide. The high level of competition, from the {MOB} Members and Regs to the mercs like my (slightly older ;) 'Brother of Another Mother', The Mechanic, that typically participate provide an excellent opportunity to sharpen the blunt edge of my skills and have some great fun.

On to the intro, I shall begin with WrAiTh since that is how everyone 'knows' me. The reason that name was chosen was because about the same time CoD was released I brought home a copy of the Charlie Sheen movieThe Wraith from the bargain bin to show to my kids and it just seemed to fit. As for the me behind the ID, I'm a 40+ year old engineer from ChiTown with a Bears affliction and a passion for the strategy and action of CoD, especially Base Assault, which occupies what little time I have beyond that spent with my kids, my lady, my career, and holding my house together with duct tape.

It was great to share some chat while playing; it really expands the experience!

I enjoyed playing and chatting with some of the members last night. I must admit this 'new technology' is a bit overwhelming at first especially with members from both sides speaking and not knowing who is who by their voice. BtW, it was most sporting of you to offer that tank, Lieutenant Canuck, but, you were there first and you did out-rank me.

With accommodations like that, who needs friends.



Similarly, you might want to check with the admins because I believe someone hacked your servers last night using your ID and hit me in the face with an 88 shell, another action out of character for an accommodating soul.



It was great spending some time playing on your server and I'll remember my Gayle Sayers moves to avoid those 88s the next time I come so as to provide better target practice.

I could use some way to help me find my way around Tuchola and a trail of bodies would help. I do enjoy Barbarossa, but, I always forget which base to leave for last.

yeah, the action around the Foy 88s is getting fast and furious. We got REEEEEAAAAALLLLYYYY tired of dealing with the 88 spawn killing whores, so we developed counter measures. The first thing we noticed was some of the ladies would jump into Spec mode to determine where we were, and then jump back in the game and tag our ass.

The next change has raised the bar as some of the more committed ladies have figured out a way to jump from an 88 to a tank and nail the opposition's 88 with tank fire. This was wonderful when it was our own side doing it, now that both sides are doing it, the life-expectancy of an 88 gunner has fallen precipitiously.

I do love research and development, especially when solving ANNOYING problems.

I understand the first problem and it should never be allowed to happen, but, I'm a bit confused about the second issue. Do the tanks give a better line of sight to the opposition's 88 or is tank fire more effective against the 88? Either way, it sounds like a 'grey area' and while not completely honorable it does sound legal and perhaps the ladies need those advantages to level the playing field.

No, it is all quite legal ... although I would argue that jumping into and out of Spec mode to ascertain the location of an unseen opponent is not something we should allow on our servers.

I completely agree that "jumping into and out of Spec mode" should NOT be allowed. It really violates the 'spirit' of the game. The whole idea is a combat simulation and it is not very realistic to have people turning into omniscient ghosts.

What was the deal with the guy changing his name all the time last night?

Well, hello there Wraith,aka "Dangerous" if you ask me.A most formidable opponent of mine.Your elusive and decisive game play drive me nuts.I'ts to bad I seem to always be on your bad side,and pay for it dearly! I was looking at the UO boot camp manuel earlyer and it said being nice to your friends is only expected but be nicer to your foe for you will never no when he's got your back..

In my eyes, your modesty confirms that the praise was well placed and in return you have humbled me, thanks.

I agree that there are players capable of wielding greater skill on a given day than either of us; in fact, a number of them are members of {MOB} or their Regs which is ultimately what draws us to their servers, the quest for an honorable challenge. I can recall playing matches with and against: cowdoc, S Rocket, Crazy Canuck, Cross of Iron, Flatliner, Hamma, HarryC, L Lipton, Ouch, Radiation, UNDEAD, and Wino Ph.D. before they joined {MOB} and Bargod, Big P, Choth, and Silver as members (just to name few) on their servers and others and was consistently impressed with the skill level, but, more importantly the dedication to honor and fair play.

As for your specific mention, it is due to the fact that we do seem to be constantly pitted against each other. I'll be unable to join the {MOB} server and there you'll be on the 355th or Dead Prez server and I find myself laughing at the irony of the situation.

Like minds do think alike and great minds will settle for nothing less than the best.

Let the games begin for ALL who yearn for the excitement of the challenge!

Ha! another new guy!!!!! Well, welcome and I hope to chat with you on vent when I arrive home this weekend. I work out of town so I have little time for gaming during the week. I am a project manager for a construction department and run a small construction department in my home town. This leaves next to no time for gaming except on weekends, but here goes.....

My name is Dienamic "Duh". You will no doubt hear many Mob cussing me during game play on vent not mentioning any names Thomas, Choth, King Itchy, somtimes Silver and under his breath Goose lol. I like to ride with others and attack bases and spawns.

haha...well put man. I have been working out of town during the week so I am only on weekends for now. That may change as my company got me a Dell Latitude D520. It has a gig of ram so it runs better than my other laptop.it has a t-2300 intell chip. ONe can only hope right?
