I have cleaned just about everything, but when I launch CODUO MP my mouse is very slow across the screen and if I join a game the lag is so bad I can not play well at all.

All my other operations are fine: e-mail, normal web surfing, etc.

Any suggestions or is anyone aware of a bot in a UO map??

Thanks,

Rocket Dog

Have you checked your FPS(frames per second) because I have been haveing a similar problem. When I launch the game the mouse is slow and when I join a game my FPS starts off ok(70-90), but then after about a minute my FPS drops to below 30. After that happens I can barely play. I don't know what to do to fix it.

Sounds like my pc when another huge app is running along with UO, ie: Anti-Virus and Photoshop.

I found a way to cut out a lot of lag for me. Set most of my settings to loww. Audio is a big lag causer. I set it to lowest and alot of lag was gone.

if moving all graphics and performance settings to low as well as setting up your graphics card for high performance rather than high quality doesn't help i would look at getting another stick of RAM! I would say 512 mb of ram would be the bare minimum you would want, I have 1 gig and things work sweet.

Another option is to go here http://www.mobclan.com/forums/upload/index...?showtopic=7047 and set up your config file! be sure to set your hunkmegs to half of your system's ram!

what are your sytem specs? ram - processor speed - video card

CC,

I'll go that link you posted.

I am running

2.4 GHz P4

1.5 G byte RAM

Nvidia GeForce FX 5700

Plenty of GB space on C Drive

This is why I think something is loading up when I launch CODUO. Last time this happened I deleted X Fire which was loading and dragging my system when playing CODOU.

I also reinstalled CODUO and think I will again because I am wary of one of the servers I let auto load a game, I may stop all auto loading when connecting to a COD game server.

Thanks,

i think I would try a fresh install of cod, then uo before the f word lol. Before you do that, you should check your main in uo and make sure you do not have any custom configs that alot of asses make you dl to play thier mods. A good indication that this has happened is your consol screen has been taken over by someone's idea of what it should be.

Check for that madness before deleting or formating. The hardware you have is goood enough to run uo.

Another thing I am concerned about is 1.5 gigs of ram. Sounds like you are stacking ram meaning your motherboard may be mad at you. Some motherboards hate that and some even go as far as not even recognizing the combination.

In short, check your specs on your MB and also make sure your ram is the same type, speed and channel.

if all else fails...then reload game and stay away from teh gay mods.

The dienamic one has left the forum..................................

I hope they guy didnt take me seriously... my sarcasim may be hard to detect through posts.... although that would technically eliminate the problem.

I could have had fun telling you I did format C: per your "advice" and posted all kinds of comments stringing this along but I had other things to do.

I think Win updater in XP may have changed my nvidia drivers to a recent version so I will be reloading an older driver, I think ver 56.72, worked last time I ran into this lag problem.

Cheers
