I took 3rd place in the short script competition of the Eerie Horror Film Festival. There apparently was quite a battle for third place, as it took them three extra days to decide who took third. I assume (haven't found out yet) that it is because my "short" script maxed out their short script max pages (70 pages) when a feature film generally goes at 90 pages (at least for horror).
So, I know my script was really "feature length" not a short, but I paired it down to cut some crap out of it, plus it was cheaper to send in a short script than a feature length script. I can only assume this is what brought me down....
Anyway, I'm getting loaded right now! I'm so friggan happy! I knew that script wasn't crap! I knew it was pretty damn good!
