Hope it's better than MOH Pacific Assault was. I mean, PA was fun in single-player, but multiplayer had too many problems.

And its on PC... YES!

I can't play FPS's with a controller anymore. I'm challenged.

Their a little tight liped at planet metal of honor about this game right now, I think were all in for some pleasant suprises when this game comes out, especially in game play. I haven't read anything about multi-player yet.

Q: People have been complaining about too many WWII based games for a along time, what set MoH: Airborne apart from the pack?

PG: Airborne is fundamentally about freedom and player choice. From the first step out of the plane, the player is in control of how the experience plays out. The player defines their landing spot, angle of approach, tactics and style throughout the game. That's a big difference from the rail-ride shooting galleries we've seen within the genre in the past. If you can land anywhere in the battle area, even on sniper towers and church steeples, the game cannot be linear.

This makes me hard. Sorry was that too much info? w00t2.gif It would be like Far Cry, only WWII themed. w00t2.gif

If they did the Multi-player right, I might finally have a successor to COD. what would be "right".

- Include vehicles, esp. tanks.

- Include game types like Base Assult, Domination, and Conquest.

- Cool idea - let each map start with the Airborne drop, with each plane flying across the map, meaning you could choose to drop in on the "defensive" side or behind enemy territory on the "offensive" side. Imagine the possible mayhem to start each map! smile.gif

- Include anti-cheating software.

And to give themselves a reason to do the multi-player right, I'd accept a future multi-player expansion that would add a couple additional gun types, new tanks and/or anti-tank guns, and flyable planes, plus new maps. But the point is, here's hoping they do everything that COD2 failed to do for me. Make a complete multi-player experience from the start.

Finally, could you imagine a better way to bribe game reviewers than to invite them out to the desert and let them fire real WW2 weapons to their heart content!?!? We'll have to read someone else's review to find out if it really is as good as it sounds! smile.gif

Helll no, MOHAA was so great because it didn't have any vehicles and none of this bas bullshit.

You can find out a lot more here. http://www.fpsadmin.com Rudedog has a section of his forms dedicated just for AirBorne. Blackhats comes in the forum on a regular basics, he's from EA game. He's been asking the the members what they would like to see in the game. So that's encouraging, weather or not they use our suggestions, only time will tell.

No "base bullshit"? If you don't like that gametype, you don't have to play it. The point is, the stuff should be there for people who like those type games. Then people can run their servers however they want.

I'm saying that they will probably focus on one aspect of the game. A Battlefield type game with vehicles or a MOHAA like game with great infantry combat.
UNDEAD 1
2 kind of gamers it seems ,1 who started out playing tdm/dm type maps and 1 whos started playing objective type maps.

i simply have never been good at tdm style play ,period! dm/sniper im actually pretty good but put me in an objective type game and its different!

Slimshady
If is this game is in any way shape or form like the old mohaa, I would probably quit c0d2 and play this game. It better be mad.
sironyx
Think about how scripted the old Moh:aa single player campaigns are. Very linear (aka on rails) and often very cheap.... remember the sniper level in Moh:AA... CoD is just like this too, but much more fair.

I mentioned Far Cry before (and I highly recommend it) because you have free reign of the map to approach your targets from any path you choose. Sounds like Airborne will be just like this.

The more I read about this game the more excited I get. dribble.gif

Although this LINK is a review of MOH:Airborne single player at Ign.com., and not much of the reviews I've seen mention multiplayer game play.

But........, by the looks of the single player game I'd buy this game just for that. 2_thumbs_up_-_animated.gif
