Today while playing on Barb, g2 was being planted I went to the base and because it was just started to be planted I chucked gernades down the pipe hole. They went off and another player on my team was going down the steps and was killed. He quickly told on vent that I team killed him, I did not think this was posible to do, and do not like being called a team killer!

I have been I many situation where I was heading to defuse and another player jumps out of a jeep an kills me I'm sure it was not on purpose and let it go. I'm sure it was an acident.

It isn't possible. Either there were other enemy gernades down there, or your gernades set off an enemy satchel, or that dudes own satchel, which would have eventually killed him anyway.

Only other way would have been if you got killed and switched to the "team-switch" screen. When in that screen you are considered the enemy, and your gernade would kill a former teammate. I'm assuming you didn't throw the gernade down and switch to spec mode...that would have done it too.

But you can't kill a guy with your own gernade if you are still on the same team and not being auto-switched...period.

Viper, there had to be something else that killed him. It is impossible for your granades to kill a teammate. Teamkill is not on.
We know your not that kind of player, so don't worry about it. That guy probably killed himself with his sach or opposition granades.

you cant tk with a granade or I would be doing it to Undead all the time... probably MOD and Abuse as well.

Viper I am not quite sure why you are even posting the above on the forum. When the action occured it appeared that you did tk me and when I glanced at who killed me (at the time I would have sworn it was you), however as you said I said "quickly on vent" everyone else said the exact same things that everyone has posted on this thread. Including that you probably threw your nade and you died and then you're nade killed me. Regardless, at the time everything was explained to me I did say I was sorry and moved on with the game.

I do not bad mouth anyone and try to get along with everyone. If I have a problem with someone I go right to that person and get it straightend out. I sure would not have posted anything here about it especially after everything was explained the way it was.

The reason I am just now answering this post of yours is because I was just tonight made aware of it.

I am sorry for calling you a Team killer. When you are in the heat of battle it is kinda like trying to drain the swamp when you are up to your rear in alligators. Know what I mean? Everything is pretty hectic.

So when you coming back to Barb?

A gernade won't kill a teammate just because the "thrower" is dead. He has to be team switched or gone to spectate. Otherwise teamkills would happen all the time, such as when a person drops their artllery but then gets killed. Using the above theory, for 10 second then the artillery would kill anyone. This is not the case.

Viper says he wasn't team-switched or in spectate, so IMO the most likely scenario is you read the screen wrong, seeing a "dead Viper" and a "dead you" and added them together by mistake that the two together meant Viper killed you.

The only way to TK someone without being teamswitched (that includes being in the team switch screen, even if you don't select anything) or going to spectate is

1. Drive over someone who is prone
2. Jump from vehicle so it's momentum drives over someone. However, in that case it does not tell you who killed you.
3. Push someone off a cliff

I understand all of this now and all of this was said on vent at the time of the incident. I said I was sorry I made a mistake in saying Viper Tk'd me, but also for reading (obviously) who killed me. Like I stated previously when in battle..........

One thing I did not mention previously is; while playing in other servers I have had someone to tk me in incidents like this just so they could defuse or even plant and get the points. Which I don't care about the points I do care about my own teammate killing me intentionally. Obviously this previous experience influenced my response.

NOW... nuf said... everyone buckle yer helmets and get back to the front and kill the enemy.

Hey Guys,

I would like to know something. If I were to throw a satchel down and if at the second it left my hand a teammates grenade goes off near it, would it blow my satchel and kill my making it look similar to a tk?

It wouldn't register that way, but it happens sometimes and I've seen people confused by just this because they drop a satachel and a second later they die and they wonder what happened since only teammates are around, but it's because a teammates gernade blows their own satchel.

I often get caught in a semi-teamkill. I race into our base and shoot a guy with a prepped satchel, I'd have enough time to get out except I see teammate gernades falling in the base, so they blow and set off the enemy satchel before I get clear. DOH! BUt that's not intentional on their part, so not really a teamkill.

And sorry Doyle if I misunderstood your apology, but your wording had me a little confused.

I posted this here to get other feed back on the issue. I did not think it was possible for my grenade to kill you, but I wanted to be sure. Also, I was hopping for a response form you on the subject, and being a possible new member I wanted to keep a history of the trend for the comment before membership.

I'm glad you responded to the post and was just made aware of your not being able to log into forums. I also understand that you had problems with tk on other servers but get to know Mob and Mob regs we have a great bunch of players here. Mob has server rules and a code of conduct, teamkilling is a very serious statement that can result in a ban. Yes, I have been accidentally run over once or twice, but it was an accidental killing that occurred in the heat of battle. I was once bumped several times into a minefield by none Mob member, who is now banded for life. When in doubt there are server logs.

I did not hear your apology on vent, but am glad to here it now.

I don’t play on barb any more.

I'm will to start over, have fun on the servers.
