It will come in 3 different versions..BASIC ,HOME and ULTIMATE.
If you get the Basic version, you can upgrade to Ultimate, with the same disc, but will have to pay a fee to Microsoft for doing this.
Each version will come in 2 different types 32 BIT and 64 BIT.
The 32 Bit version can read 80% of all software out there at the moment, whereas the 64 BIT can only read around 60%.
If you try to hack, tamper or modify the Vista system, then it has a built in security feature that slowly crashes the programme, and you have to send it back to Microsoft for them to load a new version (which they cost you for)
While on the subject of security ........
The Vista cames with the most advanced security programme buit into an operating system (so Microsift say) ,which in the long run will be great...BUT...at present if you try to install a new piece of hardware on the system, then it wont work as,microsoft sercurity wont beable to read the drivers for it.This is because the system relays on the latest drivers from the manufactor, which they are in the progress of rewriting ,and wont be 100% finished ,untill at least, 18 months from now.
All this is because Microsoft want to keep the system as firewall and security safe as possible,at the cost and annoyance of the consumer.
Anyways just though I would share this with you.
