As the MWBAS server rolls along, people are realizeing that you get as many points for "patching up" a person as you do for planting and blowing a base.
A few of us noticed this last night and thought this is going to be a big problem.
A bunch of people on both sides would run into each other in the spawn area with a jeep or tank and then proceed to patch up each other, then we watched as their scores soared.
So in essence, you don't even have to leave your spawn to be top scorer.
Perhaps the patch up points could be lowered or eliminated all together.
Thoughts?

you are spot on mr. hee haw.
the other night while playing i found everytime i turned around Lt. Anderson was sticking it in me (no comments needed Flatty). i thought "boy thats nice of him to be so concerned for me and his teammates". then i realized he was getting like 8 points for everytime he did it. it appeared that he basically stopped playing the game and and just spent his time looking for his health challenged teammates to fix-up.
my opinion would be to remove points for all together for healing.

If you look at the bottom right hand side of your in game screen, you will see a square with a cross and the number 3 in it.
When you see a teammate low on health, you get close to them and press the use key, volla you get 8 - 10 points, not sure on the exact point value, but its alot.
It was happening last night too. There were two guys on my team that continued to patch each other up the whole round. Of course they were the highest in points, but they rarely left the spawn.

I only noticed this the other day as well...
I dont care about total scores - if people want to fudge their scores, then so be it - but it will affect the balance of the early game as with more points you receive more ammo, a satchel, and artillery.
Perhaps the healing points should be reduced to 2?
I put in giving points to healing other players to encourage players to help each other.
Until I gave points for it, a guy would see a teammate with an orangy or red name (meaning very low on health) and do absolutely nothing about it. Wouldn't even pay attention to see the low health on others.
But put in some incentive, 10 points for each heal, and oh boy, the concern for their fellow man (or woman) is at the forefront. LOLOLOL!!!
Sure, I'll take away the points now. Frag on!
Update -- There are now NO POINTS for healing teammates.

Oh, err, darn. No points? Could we run a vote on this. I say 1 point is good. Like is being said, it does encourage healing. I ask people to heal me, and usually have to coach them how.
However, I'll point out I didn't know about this, and couldn't figure out how on earth I got 137 points for 1 game the other night! LOL. I was like, "what the hell did I do?" Guess I was healing people. I'm such a nice guy! My total score after the set was 207. Tried to screenshot it, drank too much, messed it up. Oh well!

Hey Guys and Gals,
Yesterday when I found out about the healing thing, I did it like 6 or 7 times in a match. Look at this insane score:
Click to view attachmentAlthough I do believe I did die a couple times while healing someone, so there is a threat to taking time to heal someone. I believe there should be 2 points awareded for healing someone.

Geez! You must get 8-10 points per pack, is it? That's why 1 point is good IMO. If a guy is really hurt you might get up to 3 points, but most times 1 or 2. And yes, it is dangerous to expose yourself by healing someone, so a little reward in points does seem appropriate, since you are also likely to get killed some doing it.

Changing it to a mere 1 point will discourage the point whores (of which there are MANY) from playing too much (thank goodness). It's bad enough they don't bother with blowing up bases, now they just sit around spawn trying to heal people.
I believe the healing should be set to 1-2 points. The 8-10 points was causing more problems then what it was worth really we had people from the other team planting the bombs and the guys from the other team wouldnt even worry about the bomb they would just heal heal heal lol.But taking it away all together isnt really a problem as I never done it anyway but for those who do it they should be rewarded.

Maybe we just start another group (like MOB Regs) and call it the Nurse Corps. If you get more than, say, 20% of your score from healing people, your tags get changed to {MOB}[Nurse} (or just Nurse if you're not MOB or Regs)and your player puts on a dress in game. That way when the rest of us are out killing and trying to blow up bases, when we need to get fixed up we can just look for someone in a dress.
Note: No offence is intended for those of you who actually wear dresses.

Just on a side note,
word to the wise...
women do not like the word flopping.
That is all.
I just figured out how to do sticky bombs. Can we give like 10 points for that? I ran around all day today just to do what I always love to do, kill people with satchels (and yes I saw it works with nades too). Anyway, in regular stocks some of my favorite tactics are:
1. Throwing satchels under camping tanks
AND
2. Running at infantry with a cooking satchel (actually, maybe my favorite, especially in matches)
Now that I discovered how to do sticky bombs I just ran around all day today looking for tanks to stick them on. I was a bit disappointed to see that sometimes when I stuck them on the back they didn't kill the tank.
On the other hand I was glad to see that apparently with my new connection I'm a master at the two shot kill on Italy.
So, I guess it balances out.
*edit* thats the two shot tank kill. If you don't know, then I can't tell you....

I'm curious about this sticky satchel as you call it..... where does one find this mythical creature and how do you use it?
while your standing up just hold shift it will look like your bashing then it will stick to whatever you are around also sticks to other players
