In order of favorite, SWKotOR, SWJKJA, SWKotOR2.

I really loved the plot in KotOR, IMHO it is far better than any plot in the 3 prequeal Star Wars movies. I loved the concept of the "Star Forge", and I especially loved the "plot twist". For me, it was as close to "living" a great Star Wars movie we're likely to get. smile.gif Great characters and a cool bad guy (Malek).

Jedi Acedemy is a 3D shooter though, not a role playing game, but I really liked it as well. I almost never used my guns. Lightsabre and force powers are the way to go. I especially loved using force choke to grab a guy, swing him over the edge of a cliff, then drop him. Bwhahaha!

Both those game might be in my top 10 games of all time. JA might be showing it's age by now though. Graphically, I suspect it looks fairly weak by now. All I know is I really loved it at the time. I think the game I played after it was COD actually, and that because another of my all-time favorites (obviously!).

KotOR2 I enjoyed, but not quite as much because Kreia (?) annoyed the hell out of me. A one-handed old woman I guess wasn't my idea of a "cool" character, and she was so central you couldn't avoid her! I still enjoyed the game for the other characters though, and Darth Nilius (sp?) was pretty neat, as well as the half-dead guy (foget his name). I actually played this game through twice as light side and then as dark side. It was neat how some of the missions changed somewhat. I preferred being light side. However, the neat thing about being darkside is not only do your looks change for the worse, but also you companions. Me, Visas and the Handmaiden made for a fairly evil looking brood by the end. laugh.gif

Anyway, nice topic Bark. Definately, some of my favorite all-time games. Take plot elements and character from KotOR 1 and 2 and weave it into a new movie and I think you'd have the best Star Wars movie in a long time. Oh, and let the guy who directed LoTR direct it! OK, I'm dreaming. wink.gif

True to me SWKotOR 1 had the better story line, but i think SWKotOR2 had more in u can train others to be a dark jedi or a jedi knight, higher lvl now 50 from 20. I like the jedi ropes better and i like useing mods to add stormtroopers and lightsabers from the movies to spice up the game abit more. To me Sith Lord all the way, i havnt beaten the game as a jedi master yet and i dont know if i want to, i just love being the Sith Lord muhahahaha. I tryed a demo of SW JK JA and it wasnt for me, thank god for demos lol, i just save some money.

All the Star Wars games I played...hmmm

Firstly, where it all began, original "Star Wars" arcade game

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars_(arcade_game)

Compute games:
X-Wing (+ expansion)
Tie Fighter (+ expansion)
Jedi Knight
Jedi Knight 2 - Dark Forces
Jedi Knight Academy
Knights of the Old Republic
Knights of the Old Republic 2
Star Wars Battlefronts 2

I would say I enjoyed every one of those games a great deal with the exception of the Battlefronts game, because it is supposedly a multiplayer game, but in reality it filled the gameworld with "bots" and there's only a fraction of players that are real. I really hated it because of that and never played it more than a handful of times.

I can, to this day, remember being stuck for a long time of mission 4 of X-fighter, and the great feeling I got when I finally beat it! The other great feeling was decending into the Deathstar trench for the run at the exaust pipe! My computer back then was a 486 25/SX. Game was choppy as hell, I played it again with an upgraded 486 75/DX4 with a whole 8 Meg of RAM! Smooth as silk! biggrin.gif

Looking back, I suppose I've gotten countless more hours of enjoyment from Star Wars games then I ever got from the movies. They had a lot of great games. Tie Fighter was great. The Jedi Knight games were great. Those were all great because the gameplay was fun. However, KotOR was the best game for really a compelling plot and almost making you fell like you were part of a Star Wars movie, or better, part of the universe. I still sometimes daydream about the great plot it could make for a movie borrowing from the themes of KotOR I and II. Or a TV series! smile.gif

Battlefront 1, and 2 are fun I enjoy them.
