Guid # fl740d21 if I'm not mistaken. He also accused me of cheating, I felt great. Oh, and before he said I was cheating, he said something along the lines of "fuck this shit server", don't rely on my memory for this, but it was something insulting to the server.

You'll have to take this and all future ban requests to Old Man Mike for awhile. My pc crashed and appears to be toast. Until I can figure out what's wrong and fix it, afraid I have no way to help out with bans (or play the games, or put new maps up, etc, etc).

Also, in cases like this, spectate the player and record a demo. This often will help us determine whether it is a hack or not.

BTW, what is a game hook?

Thx steel I took it to old man mike hope you get everything working again
NP Bargod I wasnt saying he needed to be banned for this reason but for the issues he was causing in server.Just thought I would point out he was banned by pb for a hack.

A "game hook", simply means that you have a process running that is "hooked onto" your game process. Normally in an attempt to change the code on the fly. These things are normally:

1) A no-cd patch
- Try reinstalling the game
2) An in-memory trainer or other 3rd party add-on
- Dont use these
3) Anti virus or spyware that scans (and for some reason wont release it's hold over) your process
- Try disabling your spyware or AV softwaare, and change provider if this solves your problem
4) A driver that identifies the process and attempts to "improove" your performce (ie: cheat the hardware testers to get better reviews)
5) A modified driver/file that gives you an advantage over another player (such as editing directx, opengl etc) it can allow you to see through walls, have no recoil etc.

Several others.Only Evenbalance knows what the cheat was however they have given the guide above for admins to identify whether the violation is a hack or not.

GIJoe was there he said he would get to this topic as soon as he could.

GIJOE
I was about to kick him for foul language, warned him to stop, he didn't and went to console to kick him and he left...

I don't know about banning him, but he was foul mouthed, disruptive and interrupted game play... that in itself was enough to kick, but it has been my experience that people know when it is about to happen and just leave.... which was the case of this guy...

If anyone has any trouble with that guid... just kick him without warning... if OMM thinks he should be banned, then so be it....

Trouble makers like this we do not need... JOE flamethrowingsmiley.gif

I agree with a good kick.

If he has a game hook, pb ban should ban him correct, then he will be globally banned from all servers running PB.
If PB only kicks him and does not feel a ban is in order, why would we ban him? If he continues with this hook, he will be continually kicked from any server running PB.
That's why we run PB, so we don't have to do all that stuff.

Like Bargod says, if you get a demo or SS of someone hacking and post it, then admin will take steps to enusure that the player is dealt with.
Now that his name and guid is posted, I am sure we'll all keep our eye out for him.

Um, GI.Joe, little slow on the draw??....lmao
