Sick, Sick, Sick.... when I turned it on, my husband came in and starting watching it. OMG Flatliner, no more posting for you....ewwwww that guy didn't have a spider bite, I don't know what the heck it was... but it looked like a giant worm.

This is what I found on the internet:

The female botfly glues her eggs onto the abdomen of a captured mosquito or other common fly. When the carrier insect lands on a human, the larva, or bot, hatches, burrows into the skin, and positions itself "head down" to feed, breathing through caudal respiratory spiracles. A furuncle with a central pore develops as the bot matures, molting twice until reaching 18 to 24 mm. The larva withdraws through a central punctum, falling to the ground and pupating before emerging as a mature botfly.3 Chloroform or lidocaine to anesthetize the bot may facilitate surgical removal as does occluding the breathing hole with ointment, beeswax, chewing gum, or pork fat.4

I've seen a person with that on T.V. before... didn't search this out but it was quite disturbing before.
flatliner
HAHA! you were warned sixie.

There are a few botfly videos on there as well. People put adhesive tape on the larvae to suffocate them. In one video the larvae is an inch or so long and a cm across. Friggin sweet!

Bloodhound
Wow. Thats really sick. May I ask Flat; but why are you looking those type of things up? Haha
Nothing
Flat!!!! You Bastard!!!! Everywhere I look I see those little worm like things!!! Next time I see a spider in my house Im definately going to think of this video. Thank you for the wonderful memory that I can not burn from my brain!!!!

I forced myself to watch the botfly and the spider bite videos the other day (break.com). Mind you it was through my fingers that were clasped around my face. Truly some of the sickest things ever.

That wasnt a worm man, that was a MRSA staph infection. I know, I've had one before (I still have a huge scar on the right side of my stomach to prove it) and they hurt like a motherf*&^r!! I got mine from working in a hospital, where they believe the disease actually started.I still get them from time to time (it's very hard to get rid of,a really tough ultra bastard germ), but now that I know what to look for as far as symptoms go, I can get rid of it in a hurry. Ive been on steroids for it, all sorts of junk, and it's still (4 years later) not entirely out of my system.

Its did look like a worm, but its just a gigantic zit. It has a semi hard center, and it really did look like a worm, but it wasnt. Actually, that guy was a complete dumbass for doing that, especially when itwas on his face like that. he could have been killed, MRSA isnt anything you wan to mess around with! I had a family friend who got one on his spinal cord that left him in the hospital for 8 months!!

From wikipedia;

Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) are isolates of the bacterium Staphylococcus aureus that have acquired genes encoding antibiotic resistance to all penicillins, including methicillin and other narrow-spectrum β-lactamase-resistant penicillin antibiotics.[1] The first MRSA was discovered in the UK in 1961, but MRSA are now widespread in the hospital setting. MRSA is commonly termed a superbug.

MRSA may also be known as oxacillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (ORSA) and multiple-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, while non-methicillin resistant strains of S. aureus are sometimes called methicillin-susceptible Staphylococcus aureus (MSSA) if an explicit distinction must be made.

Although MRSA has traditionally been seen as a hospital-associated infection, community-acquired MRSA strains have appeared in recent years, notably in the U.S. and Australia.[2] The abbreviations CA-MRSA (community-associated MRSA) and HA-MRSA (hospital-associated MRSA) are now commonly seen in medical literature.

heres a CDC link on it too.

MIt was gross, but my wife can "one-up" it.

She had a Patient last year that had some form of necrosis, a flesh eating disease.

It had attacked his neck, and ate away all the flesh around his throat and windpipe.

theres only really one way to stop this disease, know what it is? MAGGOTS!! Yep,

this guy had to have maggots laced aaaaaaaaall the way around his enflamed area,

to eat away at the dead flesh until nothing dead was left. she said it was massively

gross, but nowhere near as gross as the guy who threw up 2 liters of blood onto her.

I dunno, as gross as that worm thing was, I had to hold pressure on some old black

guys femoral artery after he'd been shot three times. bad enough he was a crusty old

crackhead, but then to have his johnson laying on top of my hand the whole way to the

hospital......... At least I had gloves on......

Cpt. Snot Rocket
