Hey Guys and Gals,


On my last trip to Hawaii I heard this song they played on the radio all the time and I really liked it. I talked with some locals and they told me the story of a local that sang it and a little story behind it. I just looked on you tube and seen this of the song. I really think this is just so damn beautiful. I love this damn song and thought I must share to those that have not heard it.

I had my brother in law pick up a ukelele in hawaii so I could learn to play it on the instrument.

I Love that version. I sang it to my son when he was young to make him go to sleep.

Israel has a wonderful voice for it.

Thats the song from the wizard of Oz right? Either way Israel has a nice voice but she should keep her shirt on when she performs thats kinda sick.

Ive heard of the song that Judy Garland sings, but it is completely different than this version. Most have not heard of this version before. Im sure that at least 90% of the people out here have heard the one that was in the wizard of oz, lol.

Actually his version is perfectly identical to the words in Garlands original. However, he adds on several more lines to the songs.

A fantastic medley of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and "What A Wonderful World". It's always a pleasure to hear somebody cover a song and "make it their own". Iz did a great job, and I wish I'd heard of him while he was still alive.
Having now researched him, what a tragic way to die. He weighed over 700 pounds when he died of respiratory problems due to his weight. That isn't something somebody does to themselves. That's an illness like any other illness.
A great talent found out too late.

What a beautiful voice this man had. Very peaceful and loving and relaxing voice. Just very sorry to hear he pasted away.

I'm very thankful that I got to hear this version of a wonderful song.

I remember reading about his death. He had another song that was really popular locally also.
